Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
I start writing my DS-PS, and then I stop because I start thinking about my 175+ and feel I should be drilling instead of writing my DS.

DS will not help me if I don't get that 175+…well, it might slightly but you understand where I'm coming from.Dipper wrote:Ughhh I know. I already made my schedule etc. started prepping couple of days ago.

At the end of the day we are in this together. We will get through it!

Thanks! I have mine in, and I was pleasantly surprised with the Cumulative GPA results. It is .05 higher than I had anticipated. Still only a 3.45 because of some less than stellar 15+ year old CC credits that dragged it down. I am hoping my 3.8 degree GPA will help me out. Should I write a GPA addendum? I don't know what I would say; I don't think pointing out that I liked to party more than study help much. Any thoughts?

Not by any means… haha you will get there. We are here to help you!smccgrey wrote:Glad I'm not the only one. Do you actually need 175+ to get to where you want to be? Or is it just your target?Learn_Live_Hope wrote: Yes, I am.
I also procrastinate from drilling by trying to write a PS... not that it's going anywhere yet.

People say I won't need 175, but I would like at least 175..176-177 ideally.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
As a c/o 2017er, this thread is adorable yet really nostalgic and scary to me. Good luck to everyone waiting for June scores, everyone taking later in October or beyond, and to everyone applying during the upcoming cycle! It's obviously a really stressful process, but TLS is an amazing resource, and there should be people ready and willing to critique your PS and other application materials. My one piece of advice that seemed especially important last cycle: write the optional essays for schools that make them available, ESPECIALLY if you are above both medians. IIRC there were a lot of people waitlisted at places like Duke or Penn that didn't expect to be, and many times these people were the ones that neglected to do the optional essays. If you work on your PS now, you'll have ample time to put together a decent Why X/optional essay once the applications come out. One other piece of advice, and this is in regards to humility: despite your amazing application, the schools owe you nothing and it's best to stay grounded and remember that. If you have a 3.9 and a 173 you're going to have a good cycle and you should be getting some/many full rides within the T14, but this IS NOT GUARANTEED. Don't be the one that gets a full ride at Michigan and Columbia and complains about "only" getting 120k from Cornell or getting waitlisted at Berkeley. The cycle is very stressful, but don't get bogged down with everything going on with you and everything else you see on TLS. Make the strongest application you can and let the cycle work its way out. Good luck everyone.

All I can think about is the LSAT and what kind of score I got....
Does anyone know if you are rejected by a school if you can ever reapply there? Like if I were to get rejected then boost my GPA and take the LSAT again for next cycle or even before this cycle is over?

You can reapply. And if you significantly bump up your numbers you're not at a disadvantage because you applied previously. Unless Yale probably idk.KAYCEE wrote:All I can think about is the LSAT and what kind of score I got....

So, if I applied in September and the rejected me by December, could I take the LSAT in Feb and reapply the same cycle?scottidsntknow wrote:You can reapply.
