I hope they haven't filled their class. I really want Emory at this point. I did get GW, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with the cost of living and attendance in DC.Ngoblue2014 wrote:highly doubt they filled their class, their LSN responses have been brutal. Almost unanimous withdrawals since the deposit deadline (like 31-1 or 2) Obviously this isn't a sufficient sample size, but comparing it to the ratio of responses at other peer schools (GW, Wash U Fordham BC) it isn't very alarming for waitlisters. I am not sure what is going on, I emailed the Dean last week and he never responded which is strange since he is usually very communicative.

strange you didn't get in to Emory outright with a GW acceptance, hopefully it works out for us, I already put a deposit down on an apartment with a roommate, so obviously i am committed as well. Really surprised when i was wait listed (priority) but it's my own fault, didn't apply until March

Yeah, but I'm also an AA male, so our cycles can be a bit unpredictable. I applied in January, but I was still waitlisted. UGH! Just playing the waiting game with everyone now.Ngoblue2014 wrote:strange you didn't get in to Emory outright with a GW acceptance, hopefully it works out for us, I already put a deposit down on an apartment with a roommate, so obviously i am committed as well. This is going to sound like a stupid question, but how can you see how many people have withdrawn on LSN?Ngoblue2014 wrote:highly doubt they filled their class, their LSN responses have been brutal. sort of. you can see of the members of LSN who has withdrawn. Just go to the emory law profile and click applicants. A ton of withdrawals after the deposit deadline, only 1 or 2 attending. This obviously isn't everybody who was accepted, but is still encouraging

Yeah, they tend to fill the bottom of their class more with WL than right off the bat. If you look there is a general cut off point of a 165 LSAT score and a 3.7 GPA.cricketlove00 wrote:There are an awful lot of Ws. He's absolutely right.doge wrote:Here is a place to panic and ask. Didn't they accept more than 1200 people last year? Should there be a greater share of Ws than there are?cricketlove00 wrote:There are an awful lot of Ws. I missed some calls from an unknown number today. Does anyone know if they are just calling (and not emailing), and if the numbers are blocked?

No I haven't heard anything. I wonder if there's something going on that's causing a delay. Looking at previous years, I saw people saying that they were accepted off the waitlist in April. It's already May and I haven't seen any movement at all.cricketlove00 wrote:Nodoge wrote:Anyone hear anything? I am like 99% certain the answer is going to be a resounding no but...you neverrrr know

Hopefully the dean will stop by and provide some clarification like he did on the applicants page a few times.

Has anyone called the office of admissions and asked when we should start finding out?

I sent them an email the other day, but I was going to give em a call Friday should nothing still be heard. It's all really odd truth be told after they were so communicative just earlier this cycle!bcoco9292 wrote:Has anyone called the office of admissions and asked when we should start finding out?

Re: Emory Class of 2017 Waitlist
I got an email from the dean about an hour ago. He says that my application is under active review on their priority waitlist.
He says they'll know more after the June deposit deadline. I wonder if that means they'll be waiting until June to take people off the waitlist.
In any case, I'm glad to finally hear something back.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
