I did a visit last week. The campus is nice and has a lot of nice tech integrated into the classrooms as one would expect at IIT.
I came all the way from North Carolina, checked in with admissions early, was directed to a classroom where I waited with another visiting student for about 20 minutes... Only for nobody to show up for the class. When a student walked in to use the room for another purpose, he told us that the class had been cancelled. The next class for us to sit in on was almost 3 hours later and neither of us could accommodate that into our schedule. We were the ones that had to tell the admissions office that the class was cancelled. The woman at the front desk said they would "discuss [their] policy at the next staff meeting" with regard to how they communicate with professors about visiting prospective students. I am pretty shocked they have nothing worked out on that already.
The assistant dean of admissions, I believe, handled our tour. He gave good information, I just expected a student since that's been the case with my other tours, but perhaps he took it over after the class flub. I was also not given any sort of packet of information which, again, was my experience with other schools.
Nice facilities, particularly if you are interested in the tech aspect, which I can't say that I am. Living and working in Chicago would be amazing. I just did not get a good impression of the school or the administration and I wasn't convinced it would be the best law school for me.
With that, I'll be withdrawing with $20k/yr today. Best of luck to everyone attending and on the WL!
