Ok, I'll hang my hat here too. 3.3, LSAT > all 75ths except HLS. I'm guessing good softs, especially the one I'm doing now--I think this soft is what is helping with schollys. PM for details.

Re: Splitters 2013-2014
What's up all! You guys are scaring me with these high GPAs! I didn't know 3.0+ GPAs with 165+ LSATs were considered splitters. Anywho, my GPA is sub 2.5 and LSATs were high 160s. I was terribly nervous when applying. However, I have now received a few acceptances which has been great! I've only been out of school for 2 years but have been working full time and had legal internships since.

In a verrry similar situation (and also surprised by 3.6's saying splitters - I wish I had that going on!) I also have lots of work experience (5+ years) and I think pretty great recommendationsnyctibboy wrote:What's up all! You guys are scaring me with these high GPAs! I had a strange application pattern because where I settle is contingent upon where my wife goes to grad school. I think this is a good example that you can get into some pretty good schools with a high enough LSAT score and decent softs, though. I think my Texas residency helped me a lot to get in there, but it'll be someone else who takes that seat.
Edit: I'm married but I'm an undergrad still, so I don't think I count as an unconventional student.

Hey Everyone! Checking in! 3.36 UGPA/166 LSAT. No explanation for the GPA except I didn't work super hard my first year and had to dig my way out my last three. But I did double major, work full time during school, and I have a M.A. with a 3.9 GPA.

Re: Splitters 2013-2014
3.1/167
No real good explanation for the less than stellar GPA. I play for my university's basketball team and had a difficult time transitioning to college life while juggling school and sports. My last three years I had about a 3.5, though.
Accepted:
Alabama $$
UK $
U of L $
GW
WUSTL $
Cincinatti $
Washington & Lee $$$
IUB $$
Georgia $$
William and Mary $$
Waitlisted:
Vandy
Does anyone know anything about the splitter friendliness of UK and U of L?
I am from Kentucky so I have a genuine interest in both schools, but was honestly expecting a bit more money. I have considered trying to retake and get more money from UK, but I'm already 7 points above there 75th, will going 10 points above it make a difference to them, or am I screwed there with my GPA?
