I went to GSU Undergrad and absolutely loved it. Great school and it's a fantastic $$ value. They're also going to have a new building in 2015 I think

I received the same email...kind of shocked to be honest. But yeah is that the same as being waitlisted? Well the email says "being held," does yours say that?SailorMoon9543 wrote:I received an e-mail saying the committee needed to review my file again and that a decision could not be reached at this time. On the status checker, it says "requires second review." Is this the same thing as being waitlisted? I'm from Florida, not Georgia, not sure if that makes a difference on their decision...

I had the same email, and I too am from out of state. I assumed it was a waitlist, which is why I wrote that in my above post. It sure sounds like a waitlist.SailorMoon9543 wrote:Yes....March 15th! I hope we get a decision quicker than that.
"The Admissions Selection Committee has reviewed your file, however, a final decision cannot be made at this time. A second review by the Committee is needed.
Because of the number of worthy applications we receive each year, decisions do not always come easily. Therefore, your file will be placed on hold until a further review is complete.
It is our hope to have a final admissions decision made by March 15th."
I'm 169/4.0 Non-URM. I applied to have an acceptance at a safety regional school, so my numbers might not be super helpful.JNS04 wrote:What are your GPA/ LSATs if you all don't mind sharing (Those admitted). & if URM?
Just want to get an idea of what they're looking for.

I was honestly kind of surprised to get not any scholarship offer at all though. :/

When I talked to admissions they said they hadn't started reviewing for scholarships yet, and that they were sending me a form to apply to a scholly for folks over 25. So I think scholly info will come sometime next month.

I really need some scholarship information here.
Does anyone know when we should expect it?

That's the vibe I'm getting from them as well/ I finally got the letter in the mail today, but no scholarship info included. Ugh.elideep wrote:garrettnicole92 wrote:I got accepted to GSU via phone call quite a while back and I still haven't gotten my letter.

It seems like their office is a bit of a mess. I was told during my acceptance phone call that I'd get a form for a scholarship for students 25 and older with my acceptance package but didn't. Then I emailed about it and was told it was with my acceptance email. It wasn't. Finally got it sent to me, and it asks for my parents' income info. I'm 28 and have been independent for ten years. Why ask for parents' income for a scholarship for older students?!
We are supposed to know for sure by March 15thSailorMoon9543 wrote:doubledawg3378 wrote:I think I have determined GA State is my #1... if I got that dreaded "Second Review Pending" e-mail, any suggestions on what to do next? I am currently in "Second Review Pending"...does anyone know when this second review will occur???
