When you say almost immediately, do you mean the same day? I am just curious because I got an update today, and wondering if that means a round of RD decisions may be on their way soon.ohpobrecito wrote:Last year a good number of people were moved to the RD pool and almost immediately accepted, often with good $$$. I applied last year too (via RD) and was waitlisted for 6months. I'm wondering if my getting passed onto the RD pool is good, bad or somewhere in the middle. BU is my first choice too.

Do you think they're sending out all the ED decisions today? Do they usually release them all at once, or do ED people hear back on different days?

Last year it was anywhere from the next day to a few weeks later. I imagine it could take a bit since we're so early in the cycle.hos9903 wrote:When you say almost immediately, do you mean the same day? also in via phone call. Very excited/surprised considering I'm a 25th GPA/75th LSAT splitter. Didn't expect to hear anything this early.

For those wondering, I had I think 3 complete dates after the original complete and then a final complete date today.

Awesome, I'm sure you are fine. but months?? Wow that is a long wait.Bajam wrote:maplecai wrote:You nailed it. I just finished my interview, it is nothing about YP, they don't even ask me why BU. I feel I may blow it since they didn't conclude with sweet words. They just told me to be patient, and the decision may take months due to large amount of applicants..Bajam wrote: GPA does not get counted for the ranking (At least that's what I remember reading around). If I were to guess I'd say it is to understand why does a foreigner want to study law in Boston rather than in his own country.

In RD via phone call. Went complete October 16. At/very slightly above medians.
Did anyone else's phone conversation seem oddly terse? They did not seem very interested in answering questions or anything other than saying Congratulations. I did ask about merit and need-based scholarships and got told that some information would be in the admissions letter.

Just checked and yep, it was her number. Is she notorious for being all-business, or something?ohpobrecito wrote:I bet you spoke with Laura Gitelson.BostonFuse51 wrote:In RD via phone call. Went complete October 16. At/very slightly above medians.

People have had very bad experiences with her at ASW, according to past threads. And she wasn't very friendly during my interactions last year.BostonFuse51 wrote:Just checked and yep, it was her number. Also in via phone call. 3.73/170. Confused because last week I received an email saying my application was being put on hold until they received my fall grades.

Deferred to RD via email, congrats to all who got accepted today! My application status is currently On Hold, is that the same for everyone else who was deferred?
Also, does anyone know the percentage of people who applied ED who got deferred vs. those who got denied?
