Would it look bad if I request a PDF copy of my admissions letter? I want to use it to negotiate with other schools. Embarrassingly... I think I lost my hard copy... it's not in the stack of my other admissions materials and I'm losing my mind looking for it. Or did they even send an admissions packet? I can't remember... I have the email saved though.

They don't send anything. I was accepted 2.5 months ago. No packet in the mail.

Checking in! I was accepted in late November with $27,000 per year. I tried negotiating it but they refused... I think I jumped the gun and tried a little too early (its frustrating seeing as people with very similar numbers were getting offers in the $33,000 range). Anyways, I would love to go to law school here because I am from San Diego, but the job prospects are pretty frightening to me (but for the right price and given the fact that the scholly offers come with no stips, I would definitely attend). I am taking the LSAT again in June to see if that will help at all.

On a similar note, given the fact that I am from San Diego and live less than 10 minutes from USD, let me know if you guys have any questions about the city.

Also, any way OP can change the survey on this thread? Its getting a little old

I read this and did a double take as my $$$ was the same and I tried negotiating to no avail...and I'm from San Diego. Too funny. My question is this: my grant says in order to get the grant, I must establish financial need and complete my FAFSA. I'm already a professional, and married filing joint tax returns. I'm not sure if my tax return will not let me "establish financial need"...because believe me, wife a wife and child, I NEED this grant!

Good luck! very interested in what they say. I got the same offer from USD and Loyola. I currently live in LA so I'm gonna see if USD will increase my scholarship to make it worthwhile to move to SD.

Good luck! very interested in what they say. I got the same offer from USD and Loyola. I currently live in LA so I'm gonna see if USD will increase my scholarship to make it worthwhile to move to SD.

Interesting to see how most people had similar offers or even more $ from USD. I got 5k more per year from Loyola which sucks because I would much rather go to USD. They didn't budge with negotiations for me

Ugh cool. I emailed friday and they responded a few hours later to attach copies of the offers (which I had somehow forgotten to do) and said btw normally our offers are final but we are open to seeing what else you have (basically) so I responded with the appeal again and the copies, and they didn't respond they got it. I'll let everyone know what happens.

Unsurprisingly, just got rejected for the scholarship increased. Checked and I'm at one 75th and one 25th and got the median amount so I shouldn't be surprised.

Still disappointing considering I have higher from similar, including Pepperdine which I thought would be a good bargaining chip, but guess not!

Thanks for the update though YAZZZ. Curiously, what is your current offer? It seems weird that they would ask you to verify the scholarship offers from other schools and then reject your request.

I got $22'000. Ya, it was a bit odd, and they got to me within a (business) day so I wonder how/who even glanced at it haha but it's okay.

I just want to remind everyone to read your scholarship letter for the deadline to deposit. To keep that scholarship, the deadline is earlier.

Ya it is April 1st...

"...To confirm your intent to accept this scholarship and confirm your enrollment, it will be necessary for you to furnish us with a non-refundable tuition deposit in the amount of $300 by April 1, 2014. An additional non-refundable deposit of $400 will be due by June 2, 2014. All deposits will be applied to your first semester tuition at registration."
