Phone call this morning that they're taking my app into committee review today. Guys who've got this: how long was the turn around time on a decision?

I was complete 12/2 and I just got the call. I'm in + interview opportunity for a scholarship.

She told me it was full tuition +1500 stipend. I wonder how many people they're interviewing.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I couldn't find that much information on it though.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! I never got a call like that, never even heard of a call like that, but it sounds like a good sign that they're keeping in touch with you. I did get like 3 calls from Alabama before today just encouraging me to apply and offering to answer any questions etc. No other law school did that for me, so I think they just do things a little differently there. They also sent me a $30 iTunes giftcard with my fee waiver which cracked me up.

Thanks for the reply. This would be my first acceptance, so hoping something comes through! I heard about the gift card, I wish I would've gotten that offer haha.

Edit: Does anyone think it would be out of place to ask the adcomm if he knows an approximate time a decision will be made/if he thinks I should expect it soon?

I got an XL last year... It has nothing to do with your app.. Those shirts were made by a company that used to have exclusive contract rights and I'm pretty sure they don't have any small sizes of those ones left!

I think Bama hates me. Of all the schools to which I've applied that have begun issuing decisions, I've been accepted at all of them - including the likes of Vandy and WUSTL. Guess that's what I get for having a below median LSAT and GPA, thanks to Bama's Berkeley-like medians.

Guess I got too excited with the preliminary phone call this morning

Congrats to everyone who is seeing movement today! The school is still in finals mode (and therefore I know staff is still there) until the middle of next week so fingers crossed that there will be more movement to come!

Also, this is far more movement than we saw last year, but I would still expect splitters and reverse splitters to get their lucky phone call in the next couple of months (I had heard back from all the other schools I applied to at least a month before I heard from Bama). And I got a scholarship even later in the process(after ASW even), so remember it's still VERY early.
