In via e-mail about two weeks ago, then received the "sorry our package is slow" e-mail... then got the admissions package.
Scholarship was included.
Mine came with a red folder and a black "at a glance" three ringed binder.

I've been "complete-released for review" since 1/29. Don't know whether to be concerned/patient/frustrated/all of the above.

I've been under review since 12/13... I don't give you permission to be mad yet hahah! I called and was told that those people had an answer by now. She went to go check my file and then proceeded to tell me, 'well, it looks like you don't yet. keep checking your status checker.' Talk about being frustrated...

In review since 1/7. More than anything I am frustrated with ASU. All this time waiting I have spent thinking about the schools i have been admitted to, and ASU is becoming less attractive.ASUPHI2LAW wrote:copperboom22 wrote:mozey wrote:checking in...still in released for review 1/14

judging from last year's thread, ASU is notoriously slow. I wouldn't be concerned.copperboom22 wrote:mozey wrote:checking in...still in released for review 1/14

Oh yeah ,but I was asking because most schools want 1st seat deposits April 1st or 15th so ASU doesn't have the option to have me in review for 2 months. I wanted to know if anyone knew what the deal is in this final stretch.

from what i have been reading last year and it seems the pattern has continuted...expect a long wait possibly even admittance the week or two before deposit is due...

In review since 1/23 still nothing.
They have not given out one decision in February yet... WTF are they doing just sitting on the applications?

Checking in. Applied 1/30, in review since 2/21. I agree with this. I've already been accepted at two other schools (one a complete safety) and the other has already offered me scholarship money and given me an interview for a Faculty Merit Scholarship. I think my odds at a full or almost full scholarship there are high. However, I'm a Phoenix native, went to undergrad at Northern Arizona, and I could see myself practicing law here. But if ASU doesn't get back to me by the 15th looks like I'll have to pick somewhere else by default.Kevinlomax wrote:upstateboy wrote:Kevinlomax wrote:people have been in review for over 2 months. ^ read above

Would it be inappropriate to call the first week in April and explain that ASU is my first choice school but if I don't receive a response I'll be forced to attend elsewhere?

I don't see anything wrong with calling during the first week of April and asking them. It's all about how you do it though (word choice and tone of voice). I hope the wait isn't that long, although looking at last year's thread they seem to really really really take their time.

this. Can an admissions committee go an entire month without a single rejection or acceptance?

They can really do anything they want....I think their application deadline is March 1st. I would imagine we would start hearing things about mid March. Honestly, I feel like they are playing the same strategy a lot of schools are playing; admit people above both medians and hold on to everyone else until USNWR rankings come out (March 11th) to see how they did and wait until their application deadline passes so they can really know how many points their medians will suffer.

Feb 1 is the app deadline according to their website. Not sure if they have extended it for the Feb LSAT or not.
Yes of course they are entitled to do anything they want, but they may lose out on students by doing this, especially those being actively courted and offed scholly money from other schools

Typically that is the case, but yes they extended it this year to March 1st.

Congrats! Nice to see that people who were held from early action are getting decisions. Are you in state or out of state?cpslo12 wrote:In via email this afternoon. Complete 9/30. Splitter, feel free to PM for numbers.

Out of state. I wasn't held or early action btw, I was RD and just hadn't heard a thing from them since I applied. I went in review in October, and the first thing I heard from them was my acceptance email yesterday.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
