Decision made, 11/12! Applied on 10/19, went complete 10/21, one update on 11/6. Let the waiting commence...

I just saw that they made a decision today, 11/12. I applied less than two weeks ago, though... could that be a bad sign? My GPA, LSAT scores were about on par with what they report, but I haven't done much in the way of extracurriculars (just a lot of work-study jobs), and I forgot to do the optional essay before I submitted the application....

If your scores were near the median I seriously doubt they would flat-out reject you this early in the cycle. My scores are comfortably above both 75ths and I submitted three weeks ago. Their applicant pool will be, if anything, of a lower quality than last year's, so unless they hated both of our apps in spite of our numbers the only explanation is that we're both in.stillwaiting24 wrote:I just saw that they made a decision today, 11/12. damn now I'm nervous. I went complete 10/8 then had two updates in October, but am still stuck at 10/21. I interviewed and did the optional essay.
I'm above the 75th LSAT and barely below the 25th GPA...I was feeling pretty good until today. looks like I may have been getting a little cocky

Just got an email that I'm in with a scholarship!
If it's helpful for anyone, this was my info:
LSAT: 164 & 167
GPA: 3.7
Not URM, didn't do extra essay, LOTS of work experience but no other activities
Edit: also still in college, no time off before law school
I hope everyone gets some good news soon!

How much did they offer? It seems that everyone complained about them not giving out much money last cycle. You can pm if you would prefer, and congrats!stillwaiting24 wrote:Just got an email that I'm in with a scholarship!

They haven't told me yet. Apparently they're waiting until 2014 to see more applicants before deciding how much money they can dish out. Irritating to not know right away, but still excellent news!

I'm in with a scholarship as well! Received an email this morning saying my packet was on the way. The amount is likewise undetermined.
3.73/168 non-URM with average softs, although I am Catholic. Didn't write a Why ND? either, so you're certainly not an auto-ding if you don't.

Congrats guys!
Are you guys located in the US? I thought they never did email decisions like that, but maybe they are changing up their MO this year?

Seeing these 'in with a scholarship' postings are making me want to eat the app fee.
Congrats guys!

Yep, I'm in the US. And I thought so too, so I was pleasantly surprised when I actually got an email about it. I guess more information is coming in the mailed packet.hos9903 wrote:Congrats guys!

Thanks! My temp residence is in NY State. They only sent a few email decisions last year, but maybe they are changing things up now. Good luck!hos9903 wrote:Congrats guys!

Picked up a fee waiver at a law school fair the other day so I'm applying. I don't have the numbers to get in though.

Anyone else get the "Fast-Track" application? What the heck is it? My research couldn't dig anything up on it.

Also got it and have no idea what it does/is for/means. At least it comes with a fee waiver.KingofSplitters55 wrote:Anyone else get the "Fast-Track" application? What the heck is it? My research couldn't dig anything up on it.

so it looks like anyone can use the fast track application, which is free. That would have been a nice option a month ago when I paid the $75 fee

Decision made, 11/12. Completed 10/22. Is this a good sign since it is so early. Now just waiting for it to come in the mail.

Can someone fill me in on this "Fast Track" application? I got an invitation to apply via e-mail a few days ago.
EDIT: Just saw that others on the forum are just as confused as I am

i think fast track is just a handy way for you to apply. to apply through LSAC you have to fill out everything from bio to undergrad info. fast track from notre dame saves you time..you provide your basic info and the school request everything else from LSACBostonFuse51 wrote:Can someone fill me in on this "Fast Track" application? I can see that for transcripts and LSAT scores, but how do they get your personal statement/resume? and how do they know which of the letters of rec you want them to see?kobe1020 wrote:i think fast track is just a handy way for you to apply. to apply through LSAC you have to fill out everything from bio to undergrad info. fast track from notre dame saves you time..you provide your basic info and the school request everything else from LSACBostonFuse51 wrote:Can someone fill me in on this "Fast Track" application?
