Is there any known TLS guide to the NU interview (especially specific to on-campus)?

It exists. If nobody (rink???) posts it, I will when I am on a real computer. Last years App thread has it for sure.

Credit to Regulus for this great post

ETA: The above post was from an off-campus interview, but I imagine they want to gather similar information regardless of where you opt to interview

Possibly, depending on my October score. The in-person interview is a sort of inconvenient aspect of the ED process.

"Although the Office of Admissions and FFinancial Aid"

Why the stutter NU?

ETA: wish I had known that they want a work-related LOR

Start emailing schools with the typos you find in their apps.

So I take it NW is not interested in seeing an academic recommendation? They say they require one, and that it must be from someone work-related. LSAC has the option of adding at most 4. Should I still add an academic recommendation alongside my employer's??

Yes. And it's NU, not NW

Anyone else having a problem checking out and not have the application fee waived? I thought I read that it will be waiver if submitted early.

There is a link on their website that recently appeared in the form of a purple button labeled "JD fee waiver." Just go to where it says "apply" on NU's website.

After reading my comment above, it could almost sound snarky. That wasn't the intent, as I also completed an application and went to submit expecting the fee to be waived. So, I went searching and found the link.

It's here: http://www.law.northwestern.edu/admissions/applying/

Has anyone heard back yet from NU after asking for the fee waiver? They said a few business days I think but I'm itching to get this in.

I requested on Monday, no word yet. The email I got said 5-7 business days, though.

Here's the email I got from them yesterday when I inquired:

Dear craigsan,

You’ll receive an email with the application fee waiver code on Wednesday. Thank you and take care.

Sincerely,
Admissions person

I don't know if that holds for others waiting, but looks like soon is the answer regardless.

I got my waiver today as well, but I only applied for it yesterday I think. Looks like they're going to be sending them out once a week or something not necessarily depending on what day you request one

the real question is: How many animals have you sacrificed to Johann so far?

If the answer's less than ten you're not trying.

also to the people asking about interview questions, c/o the class of 2016 OP. I got asked a number of these. It's a good list.
-What is your least favorite thing about your undergraduate coursework?
-What is the biggest/most important document you have written?
-What is the most difficult decision you have made?
-What is the most significant project you have managed?
-Tell me about the worst boss you have worked for and how you resolved issues.
-How would your professors describe you?
-Why NU?
-Why law school?
-Have you been to Chicago during the winter?
-Why did you choose your undergrad school?
-What would you change about your undergrad experience if you could?
-How will you define success in your career?
-How do you deal with conflict?
-Tell me about your most significant experience speaking in front of other people.
-What would you do if you didn't get into any law schools?
-If you were accepted to all of the schools how would you decide where to go?
-What was your favorite class? What was you most difficult class?
-What do you do for fun?
-What kinds of extracurricular activities were you involved in?
- What do you think is important to being a leader?
- What traits do you have that make you a successful leader?
- Who or what inspired you to attend law school?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
