What I was referring to is on that same page where it encourages PT registration there is a place to enter your name, LSAC number, and email address to "Register to apply via Priority Track" which makes me think you could, but who knows.

Nope. Sorry, I didn't actually go to the page to see what you were looking at because I was on my phone before. But that's just where the people already invited enter their info.

The-Specs, that is a very informative e-mail! Now we know exactly how it goes, and that they strongly consider GPAs.

For what it is worth, i think it is advantageous to let them know you are interested so that when they do the search they don't just see numbers but a person who has stated an intent to apply.

This may or may not turn out to be true but I think it is definitely something to consider for splitters and applicants whose numbers make them likely to head somewhere else.

I certainly see that it could be advantageous if their process lends itself to a degree of discretion as opposed to numbers alone.
As far as Duke goes, traditional splitters face an uphill battle with Duke's GPA favoritism, which is not to say that a strong LSAT score cannot compensate for GPA deficiencies.

I think that 2-3 weeks is a reasonable time until PT invites begin.

"Thanks for writing -- I appreciate your interest in Duke Law School! You should hear from us more formally later in the week, but I'll let you know now that we'll be happy to waive your application fee. Watch for our e-mail (and you may need to check your spam folder -- sometimes Gmail is a little over-protective...) and let me know if you have any other questions about the application process or the law school in general."


The "more formally later this week" part seems to hint at something going on in that realm.

Perhaps. I would surprised if they disregarded a much higher LSAT for almost exactly the same GPA. I mean -.0X gpa with a + 3+ LSAT? But i guess a floor is a floor.

I would be surprised as well, hopefully we'll know later this week. Fingers crossed for some splitter PT invites

Also just got a Duke PT. My LSAT is only 169, so the floor is at least that low.
