WUSTL is my alma mater, plan on applying for sure. Taking the LSAT in December but most of my app material is almost done and ready to go out the door upon getting the December result. I know its pretty early to be ready to apply save one piece but rather be prepared. Given what I've seen in my 4 years of Undergrad, seems like the law school has a great thing going for it and i spent many a nights blending in with law students in their library studying. Might as well see if maybe I can keep that trend going.

It's nothing to worry about. If anything it's probably a good sign. The first wave of interviews last cycle were just how they told us that we were admitted.thywizardofwit wrote:did anyone else get an interview request already? I just got one and feel sort of freaked out by it.

Also got an interview request today, saying they were "impressed with my application." Did not ED.
I really hope last year's practice of giving out informal acceptances repeats itself!

Probably just a very subtle form of yield protection, but I BELIEVE everyone who was asked to interview got in during the interview. FYI, I wasn't asked to interview, and still got in, so its not like a in/out thing.cusenation wrote:It's nothing to worry about. If anything it's probably a good sign. I wonder if the school is gonna give out schollies earlier this year (they should b/c I think it turned some people off by how long they took), the person in charge of that last year went to a different school I believe, so who knows.

Can I schedule an interview with an admissions offer and hope to hear an answer? (Assuming the interview is a few weeks after I've gone complete.)

I wouldn't. Just chill. If they want to give you an admissions interview, they will. If not, you're in the heap with everyone else.Youppi! wrote:re: interviews

Can't speak as much to about the law school as I only bummed their library once in a while, but in general you can't go wrong with WUSTL. Fond memories from that school and St. Louis in general. Good luck!AT9 wrote:Applied tonight!

Checking in, application ready other than a re-take score for this Saturday. Good luck to everyone else doing the same! Looking forward to this year's WUSTL thread.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
For all of those who have already applied; I submitted the basic info on WUSTL's website, but haven't received anything beyond that (I recall there being a message saying to wait to be sent the rest of the application and instructions). This was over a week ago. I emailed the admissions office but haven't heard a response from them in almost a week as well. So what I'm wondering is, did I do something wrong in assuming that the initial app was just the first step and I should be waiting for the next step? I would guess they'd want more than me name and email address and other basic info, which is all I filled in on their website.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
this is a general question that I have been wondering. What is WUSTL's view on applicants from UG. I've heard that other schools don't look at UGs from the same school favorably, but I've heard that other schools give a big advantage to their UG's. Anyone know what is the case for WUSTL?
On another note, the more I think about it a return to Danforth Campus sounds exciting to me. I just submitted my app sans LSAT so once I get that score we'll see....

I didn't go to WUSTL for UG, but I haven't heard anything notable about how it treats applicants from the UG. There are a handful of 1L's that went to UG here (I know of at least 2) but it doesn't seem like that they had a harder/easier time. If you narrow the pool to UG's that are applying to law school and then consider that they're applying to a broad group of schools, i don't think the adcomm ever has a problem of "We have too many WUSTL UG's that are dying to come here so we need to raise the bar to keep the class diverse" Good luck on dat LSATvicpin5190 wrote:this is a general question that I have been wondering. I submitted my app on 9/29 but haven't heard anything from the school. Is this normal or should I contact them to make sure everything is complete?

That's only like 10 days, most schools wait til sometime in November before even releasing any decisions, definitely way too soon.AT9 wrote:I submitted my app on 9/29 but haven't heard anything from the school. Is this normal or should I contact them to make sure everything is complete?

Sorry, by "heard back" I meant not even an email or anything to confirm that they received my app, thanks for applying, blah blah blah. People earlier in the thread were talking about interview requests and I've received a confirmation email from every other school I applied to with no action from me (within 24 hours for most), which is why I'm a little concerned.Dolphine wrote:That's only like 10 days, most schools wait til sometime in November before even releasing any decisions, definitely way too soon.AT9 wrote:I submitted my app on 9/29 but haven't heard anything from the school.
