They said it will show up when I apply, I guess that still counts?The-Specs wrote:I thought they didn't do solicited fee waivers so let us know if they give you one.californiauser wrote:solicited a few waiver over the weekend, good luck to all!

As part of the application:
(Optional) The information requested below is optional and will not be used in the admissions process. It is collected to comply with state and federal reporting requirements, as well as for statistical purposes. Your answer, or decision not to answer, will have no bearing on the Law School?s admission decision.
So, being a URM doesn't help with UMich? For some reason I thought that only applied to UG.

Please. If that were the case, I would force you to go to Michigan with me so I could meet you and rip your clothes off.lastsamurai wrote:Lol it's one of my better selfiesohpobrecito wrote:"Hot damn" also comes to mind when I see your avatar.lastsamurai wrote:Hot damn that was quickohpobrecito wrote:Applied.

After Grutter, the state passed a constitutional amendment against AA in higher education (incl. law schools). Spirited debate on whether or not this is followed, but i would just highly advise writing a diversity statement.wtrcoins3 wrote:As part of the application:

"although we do not preform evaluative interviews."
Come on Michigan...how you gonna let that happen on the application instructions?

The state constitutionally banned AA via amendment. The Supreme Court will decide whether or not that ban violates the 14th amendment in this next term, as they picked up Schuette v. Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action.wtrcoins3 wrote:As part of the application:

Being a URM does help, they just can't really say it does. Also, if you're white, don't tell them you're white. They don't want to know.Vexed wrote:The state constitutionally banned AA via amendment. Received a letter signed by Dean Z with a fee waiver and viewbook enclosed in the mail today.
