Are you playing CLS too after that NYU WL Admit?
Yep. I actually ED'd to CLS and got reserved. I have a preference for CLS over NYU (though I love them both) - my top choices were always 1. CLS, 2. Penn = NYU (at equal scholarships).
I don't think I'd get enough money from CLS or NYU (if any) to sway me though

Chicago I am thinking of withdrawing from the waitlist...
Dont do it! there is no benefit to withdrawing! lol

LOL hahaha...I remember that thread. Yeah my own selfishness (to use them as a negotiation tool) and idealism (maybe they accept me AND give me so much $$$$ that I'll attend) are preventing me

Reading between the lines a little bit on page 2 of the reserve letter they sent, I got the feeling that they didn't encourage new written materials unless you have questions or concerns, wanted to clarify something on your application, or they specifically asked you for more material. Could be wrong though.
Also it says in the letter that at the end of May they will do their next review of the reserve list, and admit & deny some people at that point.

Yeah it was a bit vague, but I also got that impression.

And has anyone been dinged from CLS or do we all end up in the abyss of the reserve?

Speaking to an admissions rep, I learned that LOCIs are not discouraged. I guess that goes without saying but I wasn't sure.

are you guys sending your additional LORs directly to admissions? Or are you sending them through LSAC?

I thought everyone decided it was a bad idea after reading the language in their reserve letter.

Did you speak to them specifically about writing a LOCI when you're on reserve?
