Grats dude. If past cycles are any indication, USC takes a looooooong time to get around to their decisions. I'd also be really happy to go here.
Here's to hoping they throw enough $$$ at you to convince you to go there :D

Checking in. Unlikely admit at 166/3.5 - but what the hell. Might as well, right?

LSN shows da love at the 167 sweet spot. I think you're alright.

The disparity between these two sources is my single largest source of stress these days.

Best of luck bro. It appears that neither of us improved on our 167s this October. Good news is that 167 does seem like the sweet spot for USC and hopefully with apps down they will look past our below-median GPAs.

Just submitted this morning and had a question for those who have already submitted:

Did you get the CAS electronic notification email saying that LSAC had processed your application shortly after you submitted? For the other schools I applied to, I got a notification almost immediately and it says that the schools have been sent a CAS report. Still haven't gotten one from SC and was just curious.

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

I think you've got a pretty good shot, I've seen more than a few 3.6 167's getting in. Hopefully we can both be so lucky.

I submitted last night and I did receive the CAS Electronic Application email shortly after I submitted. But I didn't get a confirmation/status checker email yet like I did for other schools.

Yeah, looks like I just missed the CAS electronic app email from SC in the mass of other CAS electronic app emails lol. But thank you for the info on the status checker, good to know.

My LSAT score in June wasnt to hot....
Stats -- 3.9 gpa, LSAT 164

Thinking about appling to USC. re-taking test in DEC. If I wait to apply will it hurt my chances significantly?

With your current numbers LSN has you at something of a long shot. I would retake. A 165 boosts your chances to maybe 50/50, and a 166+ makes you a likely admit.

Best of luck bud, I see you in every acceptance thread I post in so we may end up at the same school next year.

Let's hope we have a ton of schools to decide from as well.

Good luck to you!

Last year's graph. Looks like we could see a big wave in mid-late December.

HourUMD hasn't been updated since 2009. Can't speak for USC in particular, but you should take into account the changes in admissions standards and medians with certain schools when you look at hourumd. LSP, on the other hand, has been kept up to date.

Submitted on the 12th, checked status checker for the 1st time today and already complete (yay). Used a CRS waiver (double yay).
Anyone have a clue how long after app's are complete they start legit checking them? That's where the agony comes for me - having everything submitted and then just ... waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting.

I've got a 3.72/168 so hopefully they'll throw me a handful or two of $$$ since the 3,000 mile move alone will be fricking costly.

My guess is they will start reviewing pretty soon. If you look at the graph in this thread for last years decisions, it shows a spike in admits around the middle of December. You will see in your status checker that you've been moved to "1st Review" when they've started looking at your application. After that is 2nd Review, and Final Review, and then a decision.

Don't worry, you're likely to be fine -- I got in with 3.54/167 last year plus nice scholly! and I submitted my application the day before it closed (late jan)...
