I got in off the waitlist Fri May 25th without doing the interview, sending any LOCIs, visiting, or anything. 3.81 and 164. No money, or at least I don't think so... can anyone who received scholarship money off the waitlist share how they found this out or what the financial aid process is? I know scholarship funds are probably exhausted but I don't really want to attend at sticker with full loans financing it. I know I sound crazy, but I might go to a lower ranked LA school that gave me a scholarship. Feel free to reply/PM me with any insights!

I emailed the director of financial aid and she was a little unclear about scholarships. In my admission letter it stated there was no more money, but in her reply to me she said I should still fill out the scholarship app to be considered. It's on the admitted students site.

To anyone in off the waitlist, I originally wasn't offered any money but I filled out the scholarship application and just got 45k! So don't give up on USC just because of cost.

I too received some money just like the above poster did after getting in off the wait list not even a week ago. Do you guys think it would be unreasonable to push it and ask for a little bit more? The only reason I say this is because USC scholarships are locked in for three years and don't change, so I sort of feel like this is my one chance to get as much scholarship money as I can. What are your thoughts? Money is a huge factor for me, and I wasn't even considering going there at full sticker until I received my small, $10k per year scholarship. Although it isn't much, it makes it a bit more affordable especially considering the school I had already committed to was ranked in the 50's and I had a great scholarship there.

Also feel free to pm me! Thanks

Just got in! :D

Thanks for sharing the info on scholarships! I was scared when I read the email saying there were no more funds.

I submitted the scholarship application and loans form, and did not receive any money whatsoever. I can't afford USC at sticker... I'm so torn. So torn.

USC at sticker is absolute financial suicide.

better USC at full sticker than some lower tiered school at full sticker.

Luckily I have a decent scholly at a school only several slots down, but I'm still contemplating financial suicide...

The second deposit is July1. Here's to hoping that some spots open up after then.

Any news from anyone? Seems like it's been quiet the last few weeks after that initial flurry of acceptances...

Haven't heard anything. Hopefully some spots will open up.
I'm on wait lists at some other schools and it took them a week or two after the 2nd deposit before knowing if there would be any spots.
Here's to fingers crossed

Crickets chirping over here...seems like WL activity has come to a complete halt after that onslaught back in May. Damn it. Had high hopes, too. Wonder when USC's next deposit is...

That's Aug 24th which is 4 days after orientation. Have you tried calling the office directly, I know that they did that in the UCLA WL thread?

Call the office to see if their class of 2015 is filled yet or if there's any news on the waitlists

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
