Where did you apply for the stipend? I vaguely remember seeing something about this, but can't remember if I applied yet.

Hmm, so basically what I did was email the admissions office for the form. They sent me the form to fill out for the travel stipend. I filled it out and scanned it and sent it to them via email, and then they told me the amount I'd be approved for. I can't get the actual stipend until I complete the travel and send them my receipts, etc, but I know how much they'll be giving me. I think you have to do this via email.

Just mailed off my FAQ, letter of explanation and parent's tax forms.

Now all I need to do is wait for Chi + NYU fin aid and then I can send my negotiation email.

Has anyone else started getting the phone calls, emails, etc urging them to come? I will probably go to CLS anyway (although right now am deciding between the three of CCN and waiting for scholly info to come through) but it's nice to feel wanted!

Yeah I had a good conversation over the phone with a 3L from my neck of the woods. Was definitely pretty neat.

Can someone shed light on the merit aid that Columbia offers? I'm interested in how generous they are and when the offers usually come. If you are a superstar, check out my stats (in profile) and give me your best guess - if I'll get an offer and how much. Many thanks.

They're pretty stingy with scholarship offers. Offers seem to come in April. I'd just look at previous years on LSN to see what other people with your numbers got.

I asked them if they send out confirmations, and they said no. They will only contact you in a few weeks if there are missing materials.
