I got home from work tonight and now under my status section it looks like this:
Term: Fall
Year: 2012

Current Status: Application is in Review
Current Status Date: 1/11/2012

So they added that my application is in review and the date of 1/11/2012. The last date there was 1/3/2012. So, I am not sure what is going on.

Status checker has been fixed. It has reverted back to in review but now features today's date.

Just reject me already! The longer this charade continues, the more my hopes of acceptance ascend into the heavens.

Mine didn't even have today's date! I am going to visit the school tomorrow. I hope they just tell me I am accepted during my visit!

I used to live in Salt Lake and I love it up there. I'm married now, so hunting for a normal, non-Mormon girlfriend is no longer an issue.

While I love my LDS friends, I am not one. In my experience the SLC dating scene has LDS women who want an LDS man and crazy lunatics who want a crazy lunatic. Maybe it was the circles I ran in... I dunno.

In other news... I got my official letter of acceptance yesterday (got accepted via phone call earlier this week). I am very excited about the new building project that will be getting underway next year. It will be all done before we graduate in 2015 (first class to graduate after building is completed). According to many, this is the final piece the U needs in order to make a significant jump in the rankings (leaving BYU behind, I suspect).

this is sadly very true. If you think it's bad in the Salt Lake area, don't bother going past the point of the mountain into "happy valley" provo. Not sure what they put in the water there, but it sure makes the people... well odd.

They'll need to make a significant jump in their numbers to really go up.

----Are you from Iowa/have you visited in winter? I am doing my undergrad there (originally from CA) and I can't even begin to express how much I did not realize just how cold Iowa is (literally, there are days that you walk outside and have to stand and cough for a few minutes so your lungs don't freeze). Also, if you have any love for hiking/the mountains: STAY AWAY from Iowa.

Grew up in MN and ND -- so the cold is fine. Concerning the hiking and mountains -- I am fine with them or without them. Not really factoring in my outside activities in my law school decision.

Even if it's a no (which I'm sure it will be) I'm really hoping for a decision tomorrow or some other time this week. I've been in review since forever ago. Most calls have been coming on Mondays, no?
