So much for early admission decisions...ASU will be the last of my schools to get back to me, and the only one that I did early admission for.

I was expecting the EDs to hear something yesterday or today? This leaves me no hope for any decision in the next month.

well.. another poster spoke with their admissions office and they said that decisions wouldn't be released this month. i haven't lost hope yet though. according to lsn, people heard last year around the 26th of January so it's still possible we may get decisions soon..
COME ON ASU!! PLEASE

Will they send us an email letting us know that they've made a decision? Or is it strictly snail mail?SarahT wrote:I was expecting the EDs to hear something yesterday or today? This leaves me no hope for any decision in the next month.

Last year the EA's heard through email (well, at least most of them). Everyone hears through snail mail eventually as it seems to be ASU's policy.
EDIT: when I was rejected last cycle they never informed me of it via email, only through snail mail. I wasn't EA last cycle though, so I didn't hear anything until like April/May

I know. And it would seem like their loss, since people then have offers in hand from other places with which to bargain.SarahT wrote:Nice, since deposits are due at most schools in April. How does that make sense?tajudad wrote:I submitted my app in early January. I just received the email verifying receipt of the application.
Here is what they have to say about when we'll hear:
"Review of applications for Regular Admission will not begin until the Admissions Committee completes its review of all Early Admission applications in late January. The decision process will continue through the spring, and we will release decisions as they are made throughout that time. We anticipate that all applications completed in a timely fashion will have decisions by the end of April."

Does anyone know if ASU uses LSAC's site to post your status? I have links from my other three schools, but none from ASU, and I'm assuming one isn't coming.

Unfortunately they do not. No status checker of any sort.

I seriously want a decision more than I even want an acceptance. Applied 10/1, so sick of waiting.

+1... I feel you! ASU used to be my top choice but the way they handle this process is pretty annoying, especially with how awesome the admin office is at UofA!un-vordox wrote:I seriously want a decision more than I even want an acceptance. Applied 10/1, so sick of waiting.

that is precisely the reason i want news. the biggest reason i applied was to keep the future mother in law happy (lives in casa grande). she's worried i'm taking her daughter out of town. i probably am, but her hopes are still alive.gaud wrote:Right? that's rough. pleasing mother-in-laws is tricky business. let's hope we hear something soon for your sake lol!!
