Yea she was really nice, but I was hoping for more of a definitive answer / is my shit all in (especially when she asked me for all my info / put me on hold for a second to look me up)... she was very non-committal about the whole thing, so I'm definitely siding with you lol

I was recently talking to some class mates about our cycles. Many of them said that Pitt was the last school that they heard from.

I just got my acceptance letter today with a 14k scholly. I'm a URM though, so maybe that's why I got it so early.

I was excited to finally hear back from someone, and got my 1st response from W&L (accepted). My excitement turned into when I looked at that 41 k tuition (although I'm expecting some scholly). Anyways, looking at that 41 k tuition made think of Pitt again... If Pitt would give a slightly bigger scholly, attending a ls in my back yard for 10 k a year might be too tempting to pass up...

Arrived in PGH yesterday for the first time and did a tour of the law school.... Pitt has now gone from last place of my 8 apps to a pretty solid 2nd or 3rd choice right now.

Now I'm in Slippery Rock for the holiday and I'm pretty sure I like western PA.

Trying to wrap things up at work so I can beat some of the holiday traffic on my drive from NJ to Pittsburgh today. Note to self: constant status checker refreshing does not allow you to finish work earlier.

I've applied to many Ohio schools for that same reason. I'm carrying grad school debt already and have come to the conclusion that I can't go to a school for sticker price, unless it's in state.

(When Dean Crossley took over in 2005 Pitt was ranked 46th, they now are in a tie that goes from 71-77). Obviously a steep drop...

41k? Pretty sure its only like 34 or 35. And if you establish residency it goes down to like 24k.

I could make a guess, but thats all it would really be. Pittsburgh is a secondary market, but Pitt has a lock on the market. So when the economy was good, and business was booming it Pittsburgh, Pitts rankings were high largely in part to its lock on the city. Pitt still has a lock on the city, but as a secondary market, a lot of the business died down when the economy went to shit. Another one of those problems is the schools CSO. Ive heard it was really bad in the past, and that they didnt do shit. Theyve been replaced and seem really helpful now. Some of their resumes seem pretty impressive, and include biglaw recruitment and government recruitment. But Ive only been here a few months.

My mom knows his parents and they hooked me up with some free tickets. I saw him at my school. The sound system was awful and I left, he was a *little* bit cocky. He has taped some music videos where my mom works, and last time they used the space they trashed it. Not the most polite and respectful person. Too many rappers rap about pot. Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Trick, Raekwon, Wu Tang Clan, much better IMO. But I'll always support PGH artists.

I visited Pitt Law, I live in PGH, have been to Oakland countless times.

Just turned in my application. I went to their prospective student day, talked to admissions, toured the school, sat in on a class, got 2 fee waivers. I love PGH though.

Is there anything I should check out that is close to the school (besides the "O" or obvious bars) on my visit next week? This is looking like one of my top 3 choices now. I'll be with my finace who is from the area, but she doesn't know the city itself as well as other parts of western PA.
