Went to the campus yesterday, so beautiful. Everyone was nice and things were cool. I'll post pics later. However, I'm kinda bummed i just got a 164 on my lsat and I was hoping for a higher score to compensate for a lower GPA...so I'm gonna ED and see what happens, things are feeling bleak tho. But if you guys are able to make it to the campus, then go for it. It's a really cool experience.

Why are you disappointed with a 164 since that is a nine (9) point increase over your prior score ? Congratulations !

If there is any school to have some hope for, it is ND. They really care about the "Why ND" essay and your personal statement. Also, if your visit to campus wasn't through the admissions department, you should find a reason to call and mention you were there.mattviphky wrote:Went to the campus yesterday, so beautiful. Re: Notre Dame Class of 2015
Yeah, I typed the Why ND last week, and i absolutely poured my whole soul into it. I also wrote an addendum for my GPA, which i feel is really good. My PS is harder, it's just hard to fit a ps into the brevity of 2 pages...but it's good. I finished my app just now, but I'm gonna sleep on it so I can go over it again in the morning with a fresh set of eyes before I send it off. Sooo...waiting game, with the LOCI every 2 weeks just in case.
Yeah, it was through admissions. I might even go back just to make sure they understand that I mean business lol

Want to be under review now, but also want to retake in December. I'm going to ask the adcomms if they will review now despite me planning on a retake

Does anyone have an idea of when ND starts releasing decisions?

Re: Notre Dame Class of 2015
So I solicited for a fee waiver and was told the only do waivers through CAS... I sucked it up and paid the app fee / submitted on Nov 2. I just received a fee waiver today... I have read numerous times on TLS that you can be reimbursed, but does anyone know how to go about doing this?

They just sent me an e-mail.ThreeRivers wrote:So I solicited for a fee waiver and was told the only do waivers through CAS... I sucked it up and paid the app fee / submitted on Nov 2. Dear Unam:
I invite you to consider Notre Dame Law School as you make plans for your legal education and career. From information provided by the Law School Admission Council, it appears that you are a competitive candidate for our admissions process. While you are likely a competitive candidate, this invitation does not include a fee waiver.
Really, you had to specifically put that in your e-mail, Notre Dame? Really?

Bit the bullet and submitted. Applied to ten schools, and the only ones that didn't give me waivers were Mich, Cornell, and ND.

That's harsh, but I'm guessing only reason they do that is because someone attempted to argue it was a fee waiver

Three Rivers, I replied to the e-mail from Melissa and requested a reimbursal. I just explained that I submitted last week after previously requesting a waiver, and I reiterated my particular interest in Notre Dame -- she replied back today and said ND would send a check once the file is complete.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.
