Mine says, "Your file is complete."

Maybe yours has already been submitted for review!
Either that or saying that you are under review is what other schools call "processing."

If so that is sweet. I think most schools do it that way; I was just surprised to already be complete and under review so quickly at Berk. I hope you're right!

Sent 9/15. Complete but not yet under review... Any idea when the first batch of calls will go out? Mid november I'm guessing?

Yah, it looks like mid-november or december from last year's graph.

I really hope I get in! I just found out about a professor who teaches there who has my EXACT. SAME. research interest/passion. I'm more interested in Berkeley because of that, but I wish I had realized he taught there before I finished my essay. Could have written about his work! eep.

Just received email saying:
Thank you for submitting an application to the U.C. Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). We write to inform you that it was processed successfully and is now under review.

Our review process is thorough and holistic. Each application is reviewed individually and several factors are taken into account. Given the large number of applications we receive, we request that you refrain from contacting us unless the matter is urgent. You may check your status at http://www.law.berkeley.edu/2987.htm.

Thank you for entrusting us with your application. We will notify you of the decision on your application as soon as it becomes available.

The Berkeley Law Office of Admissions
I applied 10/7, got tracker 10/11.

I just got the UR email as well. I really hope we all hear back soon. A Boalt admissions officer is actually coming to my school's law school fair on Friday to urge people to apply. I'm gonna be like, "It's in already, and it's under review... do you recognize my name from the file?!"
Luckily, my thesis is due in two weeks, so I have a limited amount of time I can actually spend on TLS. I think that is actually a good thing for my sanity :) Good luck to you all!

On part 5 of the app:
6. Have you been admitted to an undergraduate program or taken courses at UC Berkeley (including summer session and UC Extension)?
I got in for undergrad but didn't end up attending. So I would have to say yes... does it affect admissions decisions?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
