According to the Vandy data on the LSAC ABA report (whatever year that is from) Vandy had 4,850 applicants, 1,181 offers, and 195 matriculants. Thats a 24% acceptance rate and a 16% yield. Obviously LSN overreports acceptances and underreports matriculants as a % of those who share their numbers on LSN.

you're right it is >=169, I just got lazy. If you look at LSN it's painfully obvious they are shooting for 169/3.8 medians.

Thanks! I retested in December and when I got a much better score, it changed the whole list of schools I was applying to, so none of these got mine until... January 13-15 I think. So I'm happy just with an acceptance, I didn't want to wait another year...

Except for a couple people with early apps and 168/3.7, the ONLY people that got in at Vandy without at least a 3.8 or 169 are URMs. I may have missed a few in there, but it just really pisses me off I didn't get one more question right on the lsat.
Also, the only people on there who reported WL acceptances are 169+, so I'm pretty much giving up on Vandy.

I'm not withdrawing from the WL, I'm just not hopeful. I am deposited at WUSTL and baring a serious game changer I will be there in the fall. I really like the school, just not crazy about St.L (sorry to any fans of St.L, I may very well be very wrong). I did retake the LSAT yesterday though, so I may end up reapplying if I did real well.

Accepted off the wait list on my lunch break today via phone call. 15k scholly. Poses a tough decision as I've wanted Vandy since the beginning of my cycle but WUSTL $$$ is really hard to turn down considering my finances.

Struggled with this decision also (see the thread over in choosing a law school). I think the consensus was that if money is an issue WUSTL is the better choice, though I ultimately did decide on Vandy. It really depends on what your situation is and goals are.

Even though I started this thread, I just withdrew from consideration. If they'd let me in sooner I would have gone, but time to make plans.... Georgetown it is. Good luck to the rest of you, I admire your perseverance but don't envy the waiting phase one bit.

Got a call Monday morning a few hours before retaking LSAT to let me know accepted. Just sent in the deposit. Maybe killing that test will convince them to hand me some left over merit $? Now on to find a roommate and tell WUSTL thanks but nm.

Seems like the last couple acceptances have all been at 169, and not well above. Could this mean there is hope for us sub 169ers?
