It's the rumor going around this season; I read it on an application consultant's website. The season isn't over yet, but generally, when employment markets pick up (and they've been trending that way lately from the rock bottom a couple years ago) the applicant pool goes down. When it goes down, schools take action later because they don't want to start building their class without a sense of whether they're getting the cream of the crop--they don't want to get hosed. That said, school specific data is not available to us, so we have no idea what this means for Georgetown. It's a T-14, so there's a strong chance it won't follow the general trend.

When did you get placed on special preferred? I didn't apply until Feb1st and was emailed about SPWL on Feb 28th. Just want an idea of dates..

I got in off the special preferred waitlist today! I was originally waitlisted on 2/28 and updated again on March 17th and again on the 21st. Feel free to PM if you want to know anything else!

I found out by e-mail first and the e-mail said a letter was on the way. They said they don't normally send e-mails, but the last ASD was this coming weekend. My status updated twice after my original wailtlist.
