Been complete since 11/20/10. Got decision rendered today. Hope I was admitted. If I was admitted, I am going to be very happy going into next weekend's LSAT.

Do they negotiate at all on scholarships? I have a lot of way better deals at way better schools but I really want to stay in SF...

I got waitlisted last year retook and scored higher. I am afraid it is another wait list....

would have lost it already had I gotten into USD. I wouldnt even bother with USF if I were you

No email yet it is 615pm. I am guessing it is a ding or waitlist. If they did not average LSAT scores I would have gotten in.

jar, some people got the acceptance email a couple days after DR. I am hoping that I get an acceptance email on Monday. It's going to suck if I got dinged or waitlisted. Just got into Seattle U today, so it would be awesome if USF accepted me. It would be so much better if they would just say in or out via status checker.

There are so many benefits of staying in SF Bay area. It is the area I grew up in and want to have a career in. Congrats on Seattle. I am still waiting on Santa Clara, in at McGeorge and waitlisted at American. So I have options just wanted to have this one.

What is the out look like for you?

I definitely would love to stay in CA. USD is definitely my number 1 choice. I got held at Chicago-kent and U of Miami. I am actually taking the LSAT again next weekend. I am hoping to boost my score by a few points and have a shot at USD. I just told USD to wait on my Feb score and I applied to UCLA and Boston U because I was able to get need based waivers from them.

Got in with the Presidents Scholarship ($35,000 for the first year.)

3.6 / 171

Any idea why the scholarships are only one year? Would I have to reapply the second year or are there no scholarships after 1L? I'm confused...

edit: was admitted by email, scholarship info with letter.

Instead of giving a per year scholarship which has to be renewed based on rank, USF gives you a one time bulk payment. So it's sort of like getting a 20k per year scholarship but renewable only if you're in the top 20% at another school, but at USF you get a one time payment without a stipulation.

and USF does hand out merit scholarships at the end of your 1L based on your performance.
