It's a pity, this was his ninth life, too.

So I randomly got put down for being accepted to Harvard for the first time last nite... basically along the lines of that Harvard(and every other high-ranked academic school including UC-Berk for instance) is full of nothing but "whack" people so it sucks, SEC schools(im in the south) have better school "environment" b/c of football, the majority of LSU would turn down Harvard to go to LSU, and that the only reason their students arent as "good" is b/c they decided a long time ago in their childhood they were only gonna be aiming for LSU so they just wouldnt score as high on tests.... Keep in mind that this person earlier told me she knew "for a fact" that UCLA was not a tier one school and that was one of the reasons she considered applying to it for undergrad (b/c apparently this means it would have an SEC-like environment).

I would be lying if I said this didnt push me more towards sending in my deposit.

Hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving. It was pretty nice being able to tell friends/family that I already got into my top choice law school. Can't wait to get back to my apartment on Sunday and see if the binder has arrived (I'm in Chicago).

No. As part of a green initiative, they started moving most materials online last year.

What is the proper etiquette for informing other law schools of not accepting their offer of admission? Do most law schools send a form saying "accept" and "reject," or do I call/email their admissions office? I remember I got a form to be mailed in for colleges 5 years ago, but the few acceptance packets/letters I have received already do not have these forms. Anyone know? I'd appreciate any feedback you have.

if you want to inform the schools that you are not going to attend- write them an e-mail. You have until April 1st to decide. I think most schools will know if you turn in your seat deposit then you will be attending,a nd if you miss the deadline- you lose the seat. However, since its so early in the cycle, writing a note to the school will be the courteous thing to do, so another student can have your seat.

If you are being offered a scholarship- then I would definately write the note as soon as possible.

Thanks for the pointers. Definitely didn't think of the scholarship aspect.

Big ups to Cal!

I also received the admitted students "binder" (it's actually a folder) in the mail recently. I don't know when it came exactly, because I was visiting the fam over Thanksgiving and only got home to check my mail today. Pretty nice little packet; the various testimonials were, to my surprise and given what you might expect from promotional materials, actually quite informative.

Also, Josh's handwritten note was a nice little extra. Now I'm off to silkscreen my acceptance letter and wear it to work for the next month or so.

Yeah, my JR1 was quite crappy... I doubt it matters a whole lot though, you probably have to be borderline and say something awful.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
