Re: William Mitchell 2011
Any thoughts on where to live? My gf will be going to St. Kate's or UM (both of their grad campuses for her program are on West Bank), so we won't want to live in St. Paul most likely.

You sure it didn't say congratulations above that? Mine changed to "decision letter sent" as well, but there was a message letting me know it was an acceptance. (I missed it the first time.) Good luck though. Are you already in at the U?chrisbru wrote:Mine changed to "decision letter sent." Does this mean I got rejected? It would be pretty ironic if I got YP'd at Billy Mitchell... It would make my Twin Cities decision much easier though...cartercl wrote:Accepted via status checker today!

You are correct, the white text threw me off! Thanks!cartercl wrote:

No decision yet from the U, but a full-ride to St. Thomas. I know, I know, reputation, history, job prospects, yadda yadda... But UST really impresses me, and I'm pretty confident that their young program is only going to get stronger.

Good stuff man. Yeah, a full-ride is definitely hard to turn down. I'm not fortunate enough to have that problem, but a good amount of money from Mitchell could have me packing my bags and heading to St. Paul. Still, I'm pretty sure you'll get a substantial scholly from W. Mitchell.chrisbru wrote:

Mitchell Fellows looks pretty sweet. I would need a near full scholarship to consider them at this point though... Here's hoping for something good!ixwad wrote:Well that was fast. Applied Sunday night, acceptance packet sent out today. I'm hoping for big money/Mitchell Fellows invite. 166, 3.51

Got mine in the mail today: 30 percent tuition scholarship w/ 2.60 stip.chrisbru wrote:Come on, Mr. Postman. Today could be the day!
Edit: FWIW, I think 2.60 is slightly below median.

In @ WMCL
LSAT: 157
GPA: 3.76
Scholarship 65% from WMCL and looking for other scholarships to cover the rest. COL will be the pain in the ass, given WMCL is in an area filled with private undergrad institutions, and close enough to downtown St. Paul to cause some eye-popping rent demands.

Congrats on the acceptance! Rent in St. Paul is better than many other cities, however. I'm sure you can find something for a decent price... Or live a few miles from the school and take the bus.Vohod wrote:In @ WMCL

Congrats on the scholarship. I took the December LSAT (post-poned to January because of weather), so am still waiting for my LSAT score. Should be just a few more days until I know and my application will finally be complete.Vohod wrote:In @ WMCL

If you don't mind saying, are you URM? seems like a pretty decent scholly for that LSAT. Congrats.

171/2.96. Only a 40% scholarship (about $40k over 3 years). I'm going to try to negotiate this, but it looks like I'll be headed to either DU ($20k a year) or St. Thomas (full ride) unless the U of M or Iowa come through with a miraculous scholarship.

chrisbru you got robbed my friend, damn I know I'll probably be going to WM next year, I've been following this thread and I thought for sure you'd be talking big money and the Fellows program in your acceptance letter. Don't give up, let them know your other scholarships and emphasize how much you like the school and all that hoopla. They may have low balled you figuring it was a safety school with that LSAT. good luck buddy
