I went into pre-evaluation. I always thought it meant you were in the next "stack" for review.
Waitlisted via snail mail today. Should I send a LOCI?

If you really want to go to school there, then yeah, definitely. It's how they separate those on WL that wanna be there from those who just applied. Surprising you got waitlisted with a 162 LSAT. Low gpa?

Yup. 2.85. My extracurriculars are essentially the only thing helping me.Neidermeyer519 wrote:If you really want to go to school there, then yeah, definitely. It's how they separate those on WL that wanna be there from those who just applied. Surprising you got waitlisted with a 162 LSAT. Low gpa?

160, 3.0 OOS. Sent in my application on 12/1 and I was asked to send in an updated transcript that includes the single class I took in the fall. LSAC received the transcript 3 weeks ago and it doesn't look like Ole Miss has received it yet. I'm starting to worry that I won't go into review until its too late in the cycle

The thing that really turns me off to Ole Miss is that they don't give much in the way of scholarships. My LSAT and gpa are both over their 75% and I was told I probably wouldn't receive any aid.

There are a number of state schools like that. You have to be a URM, or way over the 75%'s to get any significant money.

Yeah, that definitely sucks. :/ oh well, I'll play the waiting game and see how much money gets freed up toward the end of the cycle when people withdraw.

Lol, and seriously, expect a letter in the mail before the status checker changes to "decision rendered".

They don't say online what the decision is. You have to wait for the letter. Mine was a wait list on monday.Neidermeyer519 wrote:That's all mine said and it was an acceptance. Never knowtxadv11 wrote:Status checker: "Decision rendered 2/2/2011"

Accepted today via mailing. Anyone have any idea how easy it is to establish residency after 1L?

I have a friend who is a 1L there OOS and she said she would have residency after one year. So I think it's actually pretty easy.
