Tier 1 is either 1-50 or 1-100 depending on how you look at it (US News now says 1-100 but used to be 1-50). Either way, Hastings is T1.

Thank you! I actually submitted and went complete exactly a month ago... Dec 9th. That's why I was super surprised to have been accepted today. I got the call around 3:15 pst and was at work lol

Hm actually I just checked my email and I had gone complete dec 15 (so the decision was made in less than a month) The email also said they'd be making their first round of admission offers in early january (which I guess is now). Good luck to everyone!!

Also got a call today, not sure what time. Of all days, my cell was out of battery juice. The guy who left a message was super nice.

Just got the call today!! Very excited, the dean was extremely nice and took the time to go over specific things he liked about my app and background. Nicest interaction I've had in this whole process to date. Yay! Hope you all get phonecalls this week!

BLERGH. When I complained to someone about my lack of response from Hastings his response was "Maybe they are going alphabetically." Rather than seriously freak him out with a rant about submission dates and LSN derived statistics, I made a noncommittal sound and changed subjects. To Boalt. Clearly, no part of this process is healthy.
