Re: U. of Chicago ED 2011
I'd feel a lot better about things if we actually knew that some EDers didn't go to 12/15. Otherwise it could just be that 100% of EDers went to 12/15 today and it means nothing.... or they accepted all ED applicants... haha

I too am ED. Trust me when I say that 12/15 doesn't have anything to do with you getting in or not. My status checker says 12/15 and I'm not even close to the LSAT they want. Although, my gpa is very high and I have amazing softs. So who knows. But I would be VERY surprised if I get in ED. Good luck to all!thedude221 wrote:Well, I donno but I will say that the eight or so people who have gone to 12/15 are pretty comparable to the ten or so people who got in ED last year according to LSN.IvanFK wrote:UR 11/02/10 --> 12/15/10

i dunno if it helps those who are agonizing with speculations

Did acceptances/waitlists/rejections all find out on the same day last year?

Re: U. of Chicago ED 2011
So I looked at the TLS thread from last year... here's a few notes I gathered:
1) ED applicants' statuses were updated on Wednesday 12/16/09, the same as ours this year (12/15)
2) ED calls started going out on Friday 12/18/09
3) BUT.... not to bum anyone out, but it seems like they only notified some ED applicants on that day. The rest of the decisions went out after Christmas, but it doesn't look like it was good news for anyone. RD'ers find out about acceptances right after Christmas as well.

INteresting. I think according to that graph that's on TLS as well, all the ED admits found out on Friday, and WL and Rejects started finding out the next week. So if it goes according to this info above and those graphs, you REALLY want to hear on Friday - which makes sense. I dont think there are enough ED Admits to take longer than a day calling.deepdishpizza wrote:So I looked at the TLS thread from last year... here's a few notes I gathered:

Good luck!@ You're right around the Median GPA (only a little below it) so hopefully your ED app and amazing softs will help out.Top14Hope wrote:3.7 / 167trudat15 wrote:Do you mind sharing your numbers?Top14Hope wrote:

another 12/15 update here (166/4.02). if there is one, i'm still with the optimistic group that takes a 12/15 update as a good sign.

Alright, so clearly I have too much time on my hands so i thought i would set this up so we can start to look for patterns as acceptances trickle in tomorrow so if you feel like it if you get in update the list by just adding 1 to your gpa and lsat scores.

Re: U. of Chicago ED 2011
So as I'm in Korea -- it'll be Saturday morning when I find out. I hope I will be able to sleep tonight, although I'm pretty sure its going to be a waitlist situation with my numbers.
Just let me in so I dont have to check other statuses from schools anymore, and really so I don't have to retake the LSAT. When I was studying for the Oct test here, I had to wait in line in the library to get a seat at a desk. Please don't make me do that again, Chicago.
Good luck everyone -- its the final countdown.

I'm unsure of whether or not to expect anything today. On the one hand the status checker date updates happened following the normal course but on the other hand their twitter hasn't been nearly as active as normal. Hopefully around 1:30PM (when calls started on this friday last year) we will see a Twitter update and we'll get phone calls.

Just updated to UR 12/17 from UR 12/15... and I thought a status update today would be of a different nature.

Still at 12/15 here. What are everyones numbers? A search of LSN only showed 7 ED applicants yesterday (Non-URM, not Non-Trad).
Also does anyone have a link to last years ED thread?
I'm 3.5/174
