Same here as of this morning. Does this mean that my file is in review right now or waiting to go to the committee?

It probably means that you are going to be reviewed in the near future ( whenever that is).

Hey everyone,

I went to an info session last month and they said that if you apply before 11/15, you're automatically considered for Early Action and you will receive notice by 12/15, regardless of whether or not the box was checked on your application. They said even a few stragglers that apply soon after 11/15 might get their decisions by 12/15.

My application is also under review. I applied late last cycle (went complete April 10th or so) and was waitlisted and then "priority waitlisted." I'm hoping to get in this time around since Hofstra is pretty local. For the curious, my numbers are 3.3/160, plus 4 years of post-college work and a grad degree.

Hmm...I applied Early Action and I'm still listed as "pending committee review" even though I sent my application in early October and went complete on November 1st after the October LSAT score release.

Yeah, I applied in September and my status checker only went to pending committee review this past week. I'm pretty certain we'll hear by December 15th.

This is odd, my status checker went from 12/3 pending review, to 12/6 pending review. Does this mean i am in review officially?

Had the same thing happen to me on the 6th. I'm guessing it does.

No, I was EA...but I believe someone said that they will still get a decision out to people by the 15th of Dec. if they sent their app. off by 11/15.

I'm seriously wondering how they are going to get my decision to me by the 15th if I am still "pending" review and it's Friday...

Don't worry. With a crack staff like this available:

Anything is possible. Besides, unlike many other law schools that are worried about educating students; clearly, Hofstra has a great deal of extra time on their hands...

Not the whole Island. Just the kids that wind up in any division of Hofstra.

Excellent news on the file status change for you. Are you ED, or RD, as it seems for me, a RD applicant it still states pending.

Im RD, but I submitted before 11/15 so I think they treat my app as EA.

I am in the same boat as well then when it comes to Hofstra Law School. I submitted it right after the October LSAT, received the thank you email on November 6, 2010 and then nothing until the December status checkers. It might update later i guess, however, December 15, 2010 is just a few days away so they must be reading files right now.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
