I think it's the same as how some people are international spies. You know they are out there, but there is very little proof to be found.

They also announced a few days before that they were going to make their first calls shortly. So if they do the same thing this year, there will be an announcement on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week that calls are going to start.slax wrote:First calls went out 12/11.

About a week before. It definitely shouldn't be an issue if you've gotten the "complete" e-mail.arism87 wrote:Did anyone send their Dean's Cert before applying- either for Yale or Stanford? I did and I'm hoping it won't be an issue

On that note, how long does that take? Submitted tonight. Not that I'm excited about the process. 1% chance, approximately.dbrddr wrote:About a week before. Mine took 15 days to go from submission to complete. But that time period did include Thanksgiving week, so it might be shorter for you.arism87 wrote:On that note, how long does that take? What do you mean by "Complete"? Does Yale send out Complete emails?Confused7 wrote:I submitted on 11/10 and I'm still not complete...not that I have a chance anyway.
Yes, I got one a couple of days ago--and it's the last thing you get from them before hearing a decision.Kaitlyn wrote:What do you mean by "Complete"? Does Yale send out Complete emails?Confused7 wrote:I submitted on 11/10 and I'm still not complete...not that I have a chance anyway.
Thanks! Good to know.Weirdlog wrote:Yes, I got one a couple of days ago--and it's the last thing you get from them before hearing a decision.Kaitlyn wrote:What do you mean by "Complete"? So that means no online status checker? If so, this is going to be agonizing. Doesn't Yale understand the sorts of tools that neurotic people require to maintain sanity?!Weirdlog wrote:Yes, I got one a couple of days ago--and it's the last thing you get from them before hearing a decision.Kaitlyn wrote:What do you mean by "Complete"? When did you send your certification? I don't think they send out the complete email until everything including all certification letters are in. Only took a little over a week for me to go complete but I had all the forms sent ahead of time.Confused7 wrote:Nope, no status checker. Should I call their office to see what's up with my app? It's been almost a month now and no word...
Certification was sent electronically from my UG last week. Even if they update their records once a week, they should have gotten everything from me by now...r6_philly wrote:When did you send your certification? They have never been known as being speedy - and last week was Thanksgiving week. I expect you to be getting your complete email next week.Confused7 wrote:Certification was sent electronically from my UG last week. Hm, okay. I hope you're right! I'll try to be a bit more patient and wait until next week.r6_philly wrote:They have never been known as being speedy - and last week was Thanksgiving week. I think it was said most applications come in Feb. I wouldn't worry until new years because they are still taking their time processing/reviewing.
ETA: Yale is not a decision that I would stalk...
Last year, I wrote my responses to this question like so: From MonthX, YearX — MonthY, YearY, I was the [title] of/at [organization]. [In this capacity/During this time/Some other phrase], I [did stuff].arism87 wrote:Would also love to know thisgerbal wrote:Hi. I had a question for the people who already applied. Yes I was thinking about you when I was reading it. You can always update though, it won't go complete for another week or two.arism87 wrote:Awesome, 2 days after I submit..r6_philly wrote:All your technical questions answered:

Lol! Funny how people recognize me for my stress over Yale when I have next to no chance of admission. Anyway I think it's okay the way I did it, according to the post. Thanks for sharing!r6_philly wrote:Yes I was thinking about you when I was reading it.
