As I've gotten older I realize slow no's do not cushion the blow. If Vandy wants you, it's good they make the decision quickly.Entchen wrote:Applied Oct. 15, Complete Oct. 22.2011Cycle wrote:When was your application completed? ThanksEntchen wrote:Ooh ooh I also have "Decision mailed 11/17" !

I also have a decision mailed date of 11/17. Hopefully there is some good news on the way. It might help me forget that about the T-14 (except georgetown) that are keeping me in the dark.

Vanderbilt does love its FedEx packages...when I got one several years ago for undergrad I thought it was full of money or something.

Did y'all apply for the Law Merit Scholars awards? I want to, but my answers to some of the questions are pretty terrible.
Wondering if it's worth it.

You have up till January I think. But yeah, it was with the main application too so that's when I did it.trudat15 wrote:Arent you supposed to apply when you submit your application? They say something along the lines of them "strongly preferring" you submit the Scholars App along with your regular application, so I'm probably just going to do it all at once (if I decide to.)

I asked this question at my interview, and the lady told me to submit the application as early as possible. Then submit the Merit application by Jan 10.eskimo wrote:They say something along the lines of them "strongly preferring" you submit the Scholars App along with your regular application, so I'm probably just going to do it all at once (if I decide to.)

I did. Your answers can't sound too terrible because it seems they just want to know more about you. The question about what would you do if law school wasn't an option looks like the only one that looked easy to screw up.eskimo wrote:Did y'all apply for the Law Merit Scholars awards? The one question made me lol when it asked about what extracurriculars i would be doing in X years. I don't plan on having a curriculum at all but I figured they meant besides working as a lawyer. I was pretty honest and said I plan on having a family so I will probably spend most of my time I'm not working at home with my children. Not as sexy as starting a nonprofit to simultaneously save baby seals and provide educational opportunities to rural African children but w/e
