Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
I called UGA yesterday and, long story short, it sounded like the person who sifts through the files from LSAC to make sure they are complete/begin the process was out of the office on Friday and possibly a few days prior. I was told once again to wait until next Friday and see if things hadn't changed.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
That would explain how I went complete at another school that shows in LSAC as not having the report generated yet.serend1pity wrote:Actually, I have the same issue and I applied back on 10/30. When I called LSAC about it, they said that from what they're seeing, they've already sent out the report and UGA should have access to it. The fact that my account says they still haven't generated a report could just be a technical glitch or some updating issue (or so they say).sknowl01 wrote:For some reason UGA is the only school LSAC has not sent an updated score report to out of the schools on my list. The only response I have gotten about the matter is that "it is in the que".serend1pity wrote:Yeahh, my status says the same thing. I just called the admissions office and she told me it was because LSAC hasn't sent in my LSAT score yet, and that the process usually takes about 30 days. Is that pretty standard?
For those who applied after 10/30, have any of your applications gone under review?

I think there might be some delay going on between UGA and LSAC. I sent my app in 10/29 and my status is still reading "Incomplete"

Last year, UGA was the last school on my list to go complete.

Yeah, it's currently the last on my list as well - including apps I sent in after I sent this one. 2 weeks seems a bit excessive, no?eandy wrote:Last year, UGA was the last school on my list to go complete.

I thought I read something somewhere at UGA listing at optional diversity statement, but can't find anything on the website. Did I just totally dream this?

For obvious reasons, I haven't seen this year's application, but last year the diversity essay was question 26 on the app.Bill Cosby wrote:I thought I read something somewhere at UGA listing at optional diversity statement, but can't find anything on the website. Did I just totally dream this?

I don't think it is on their website; however, I am pretty sure it is on the application itself because I sent in a diversity statement.

I wish UGA would reject me already so I can kill off my childhood dreams of being a bulldog and move on

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
Could you tell us when you sent your app in? I sent mine right after Oct. LSAT scores came out, so it's been about 2 1/2 weeks and I'm still reading as incomplete. I'm trying to be patient, but all my other schools have me marked as complete and I feel like this lag is undoing all the work I did trying to get my application in early. Don't know what's going on over there.bergg007 wrote:Finally complete at UGA!!!! took them long enough, now i can anxiously await their decision for the next few months.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
I sent in on the 5th of november, still haven't received any e-mails from them except for after I signed up for the checker myself. They never told me I was complete through e-mail, the checker is reading as complete though.ccoons24 wrote:Could you tell us when you sent your app in? I sent mine right after Oct. Judging from the amount of hispanics around UGA law (very few), I would say you have a pretty good shotegeffin wrote:What do you thunk my chances are with a 165 / 3.4 as an "other Hispanic" with good work experience ?

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
according to the official guide you have about a 60% chance. I'd say that with a retake and a higher score you'd be a shoo-in but as it stands, I think that you and i both will get wait listed and then eventually accepted (you likely before me because high GPA sometimes trumps high lsat late in the cycle). good luck maybe i'll see you next yearbroker02 wrote:I went complete (finally) today. Are the numbers in your profile correct??? UGA will almost surely not accept a 2.9 GPA unless you have a REALLY high LSAT.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
