the weird part is I was accepted at the beginning of December and have already received an admission packet. Did anyone else receive a similar email? I actually thought it was an email informing me about a scholarship offer :/

this just happened to me too.. weird.

I got that email today, but had not had any prior communication with them since sending in my app. Last night I got an email saying my PAWS account had been set up, so I went and checked it out, assuming that meant I was accepted. If they did send me an admissions packet, I won't get it for a few days cause the snowstorm has stopped all mail where I am.

Now I just received a status checker from LSU which I had never previously received. I login and it of course shows that I have already been admitted and lists the correct dates of when the letter was mailed. This is very strange to say the least. Had anyone else received a status checker from lsu before this? I only previously received information regarding my PAWS account.

Just got the status checker for the first time here too .... odd to say the least. It says under review and that is what I was communicated sometime in November too by email shortly after submission.

The same set of email just arrived for me as well. I wonder if only accepted students are getting the emails.

I'm not accepted - mine says Under Review.

I haven't been admitted but I got the status checker email. It says my file is under review.

You can go to http://lsu.lawschoolnumbers.com/ and poke around and look at numbers from prior students. Some people provide scholarship info.

I received my acceptance packet a few weeks ago. Today I got an acceptance email, then a few hours later they sent a status checker.

Ya, just got acceptance email and status checker - but received acceptance packet on 12/10.

I'm trying to convince myself this is happening because they're about to send scholarship info.

I got the app acknowledgment email, but following their instructions, I get an error when I try to get a password. I'll try tomorrow when someone is more likely to be in offices there. Didn't get the email until I got home from work.

Apparently, you just have to try it five times. Yay!
