For people who applied in October for last year, December was the earliest (no November).cigrainger wrote:Pretty sure the first big wave is in December.beleaguer wrote:would love the answer to this too. applied today and found a hidden fee waiver :] made my day.MM326 wrote:Anyone know when the first acceptances usually come out? The turn around time was the shortest of all the schools I applied to last year. A full 18 days between LSAC submission and the decision!!

I was a bit late and submitted Dec. 4th but people who had submitted early also got quick turn arounds IIRC.kazu wrote:When did you submit? I've heard NYU doesn't even send you confirmation they received the app until the decision is rendered. Is that true?
Regardless I'm gonna call them in a week to see if they got my ED contract in the mail.

Re: NYU 2011
Wow, 18 days is incredibly fast. I have been going mad thinking about the long wait times to hear from all these schools, but that fast of a turnover time actually makes me nervous! I don't want the first school I hear from to be a rejection...Hattori Hanzo wrote:I was a bit late and submitted Dec. 4th but people who had submitted early also got quick turn arounds IIRC.kazu wrote:When did you submit? Nope. Last year I received confirmation 1/7 and was accepted via snail mail in March.

Re: NYU 2011
They do sent confirmation emails but somehow not to everybody. I didn't get ANYTHING last year between submission and decision and there were several other people in the same boat while other got emails. Kind of random.Hannibal wrote:I've heard NYU doesn't even send you confirmation they received the app until the decision is rendered. Is that true?

Excellence = a Habit: if it makes you feel better, NYU was the only school that rendered a decision for me that fast. You'll have to wait a couple of months for other schools :>

Re: NYU 2011
So I had to e-mail NYU to add something to my file, and they just confirmed that they did! So I now assume that my file actually exists, yay

Re: NYU 2011
Haha, thanks, that helps if the answer from NYU is positive... if not, it'll be a downer between mid-Nov and mid/late-December... but oh wellHattori Hanzo wrote:They do sent confirmation emails but somehow not to everybody. I'd almost forgotten I applied to NYU at this point. Applied early September and haven't heard a thing.

Would it be extremely hokey to hand-deliver ED form. I work like a block from the admissions building, it would be so much easier and save a stamp...haha
