Guess it's time to throw my hat into the ring. October LSAT, so I don't know exactly how realistic my chances are yet. Probably should have applied ED but against my better judgment here I am.

Re: Columbia 2011!
hey guys, also applying.. good luck to all!
Quick questions: on the personal profile sheet q. 4, it says to list and describe the extra-curricular activity most important to you and has 3 lines. did ya'll only write 3 lines, or did you go over the limit (it seems to just keep scrolling down if my answer is longer?)
also, i was in the marching band my fr. and so. years, spent MASSIVE hours doing it... does that qualify for q. 5, which asks if you were employed or asssumed significant family responsibilities during the school year? technically it wasn't employment; i wasn't being paid.
btw yall cut out high school honors and activities in your resume you attached, right?

Re: Columbia 2011!
I just wanted a shot at Harvard.
If I end up being borderline at Columbia I will probably stab myself with a hedgehog for not EDing it up here

Re: Columbia 2011!
Officially 3.55...mitigating factors, which probably help less than I think.
Score comes in this week and I am expecting 176+, which I'm guessing will be strong enough for a consider.

Re: Columbia 2011!
just looked at your profile, and am kinda surprised you ED'd colulmbia instead of giving harvard a shot... if a 3.7/176 doesn't get in columbia i'm sure a lot of us here are pretty screwed haha. good luck though i'm not so sure you need it!shanemahsa wrote:Good luck!incompetentia wrote:Officially 3.55...mitigating factors, which probably help less than I think.

I'm hoping H just denies me so that I don't feel like an idiot for EDing CLS. Though I bet I'll get waitlisted, etc. etc.
. W/e if no JR1 by the time CLS reaches a decision, I'll be able to live with it.

Re: Columbia 2011!
Looking at LSN, not too many people get in with my GPA. And those that do are from ivys or have gnarly softs. O well. I'd have killed for the Harvard-Cambridge jd/llm program.dcgbm wrote:just looked at your profile, and am kinda surprised you ED'd colulmbia instead of giving harvard a shot... if a 3.7/176 doesn't get in columbia i'm sure a lot of us here are pretty screwed haha. good luck though i'm not so sure you need it!shanemahsa wrote:Good luck!incompetentia wrote:Officially 3.55...mitigating factors, which probably help less than I think.

Submitted 10/20. Got "Complete" e-mail today (10/27). My status checker doesn't acknowledge that I applied ED either...but I know my contract was delivered because I got a confirmation e-mail (from FedEx, not CLS).

Do not apply to Columbia. They cannot properly heat and cool the law school.
