Re: Chapman 2013
I was admitted a couple months ago, went to the school mixer and asked peoples stats. My small pool of statistics indicated averages of 158-160 ///3.4-3.6 The talk around campus is that they are trying to buy the highest scores possible. For example 75% to full rides to applicants with 162+. I was admitted w/ a 159/3.5 very small amount of $

I would have to agree with the above poster. I was admitted in January with a 3.6/163 and received a full ride.

what are your numbers?
dep15152 wrote:I've sent like a email almost once per week, it went from 6-8 weeks to 8-10 weeks and I was told they are in the process of reviewing the bulk of their admissions. Its my #1 school and hoping that it's made soon so I don't have to put down deposits at other schools. I've been in review since March 18th.
Also if anyone has the #'s of what they are accepting I would be interested. I checked LNS and it seemed the range was still 156+ and a 3.4+

53 days today, suspense killing me. I emailed Mrs. Simmons and she said there were candidates in review longer than me. Hopefully soon for everyone that is waiting!

At this point, any excuse they could possibly come up for the lack of decisions, is a poor one. They have no PT program and an incoming 1L class of less than 200. If the class is full, great! WL 100 or so and cut everyone else loose. This is pathetic. FWIW, I'm over 70 DAYS in review.dep15152 wrote:53 days today, suspense killing me. Matlock, you should send them a reminder, they keep telling me 8-10 weeks and to email if I don't hear by then.
By the way I hope your right =)

Hey Everyone!
So I applied super late, as in right before the deadline in april.
My numbers are 2.75/169
You guys think I applied to late to get in with money, or (god forbid) get in at all?

Which is fine, they absolutely should have a decent crop of waitlist applicants, just get through the initial file reviews before you start pulling from the list.MixedGirl2009 wrote:they are probably waiting to take from the waitlist until the second deposit deadline which is in June, i think the 15th (for me at least)

169 should get you in, but your lsat is high enough for other schools...did you get waitlisted anywhere? you should try and get off the waitlist at a higher school

Yeah, I am waitlisted at a bunch of schools, but have yet to get in anywhere. I would love to live and work in OC after graduation. I applied late bc I thought at least one of the schools I was waitlisted at would take a chance on me, and as time progressed my options dwindled. However, I would be perfectly happy attending Chapman. I mean, in terms of job prospects at least, a JD from Pepperdine wouldnt really trump a JD from Chapman in the OC job market (just my two $.02).

Re: Chapman 2013
I feel better knowing I am not the only one that has been waiting for a extremely long time to hear back.
Anyone else try to contact them to inquire how much longer? Was told 8-10 weeks once again, and that they have hundreds of files in review at the moment. Here's hoping to all of us eagerly awaiting, as I get more and more nervous as the days pass, please URM work in my favor for once.

Re: Chapman 2013
I've been in review since 1/22. I emailed them last week and they thanked me for bringing it to their attentions and I should know in a few days. Pretty vague if you ask me, it's getting rather annoying and I need to make some serious decisions here soon.

All they have is PT day. I would imagine this is a rather small group and they go out with the rest.justright157 wrote:has anyone heard of chapman sending out part time acceptances yet?

You guys think they have any money left? I applied super late (in april) and was wondering if they might save some for late apps like mine.

I'm sure they probably do right now, especially if you have higher than the 75th percentile for GPA/LSAT. They probably have money opening up from people who withdrew from scholarships in April when the deposits were due.

Re: Chapman 2013
That's good news. My LSAT is way above their 75th, but my GPA is below their 25th so who knowsdcm81 wrote:I'm sure they probably do right now, especially if you have higher than the 75th percentile for GPA/LSAT. Edit; btw, what is their 25th/75th?

Re: Chapman 2013
Their 25th for GPA is 3.11 and their 75th is 3.56. Their 75th for their LSAT is 159, so it really depends on how low your GPA is and how high your LSAT is. What are your numbers? LSAT counts more in USNEWS, so they will probably admit you if your numbers help them get to an LSAT median of 159/160.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
