Thing is though, I'm applying late in the cycle. UVA dinged me already.im_blue wrote:Your numbers are competitive for Michigan, Duke, and Cornell.slb052 wrote:i belong here... unfortunately. (no offense)
169/3.6ish
You should have decent chances at Michigan, Berkeley, UVA ED, Cornell, and Northwestern (with WE). A few LSNers have even pulled NYU with those numbers.Bikeflip wrote:I'll sign up:

Only ended up sending in two T14 apps: Michigan and Cornell.
Only acceptance so far is UGA, but I only applied two weeks ago. 18 apps still out. Here's to waiting!

Not so great. It seems like the T-14 is doing it's best to boost its numbers and those below to grab students who might otherwise end up in higher ranked schools (were there not 400,000 extra applicants this year).ndirish2010 wrote:Bump.

Re: The Almost T-14 Club
So far I've been deferred/held at FIVE T14s: Georgetown, Cornell, Northwestern, Michigan and Berkeley. SO frustrating!

Re: The Almost T-14 Club
Yay, a thread for people like me! I have a 3.6X/166. So far, I've gotten into WUSTL, BU, Emory, BC, and W&L (w/102K, woot). They're all great schools, but I wonder what would've happened if I had scored closer to my PT average. Oh well, I'm really happy with my cycle so far given my numbers. At least I haven't been rejected from anywhere yet...here's hoping that my luck holds out for USC, UCLA, and Gtown.
Good luck everyone!

I think this is the closest to a borderline T-14er. 166/3.7.-3.8 or 167/3.5-3.7deathviaboredom wrote:166/3.8. Non-URM. Fuckerrr. T-14: I want you!

Re: The Almost T-14 Club
+1, the former would be me. Of the schools ranked 15th, I'm in at one (Texas) and out at one (UCLA). I've racked up a few T14 dings but am still clutching a dwindling hope that Michigan, G-town, Cornell or Cal -- all of which have had my app since, oh, September-ish -- really liked my PS but are just too bashful to tell me.ec2xs wrote:I think this is the closest to a borderline T-14er. 166/3.7.-3.8 or 167/3.5-3.7deathviaboredom wrote:166/3.8. Not that I'm not thrilled about UT (and Emory) -- I might even prefer to head to Austin over Ithaca at this point.

169/3.5 here!
Dinged at Penn and NU
Held at Cornell (and quasi-held at Michigan)
Waitlisted at GTown
In at: Top-20 and Top-30 schools.
Still waiting on Chicago (hah!), Duke and UVA. I'm not all that optimistic.

167/3.8 here.
No T14 accepts yet:
In: UT, WUSTL, GW, BU, BC
Out: Michigan, UVA
Pending: Berk, Duke, Cornell, Vandy, UCLA, Georgetown (requested interview)
To be honest, I don't think our position is as bad as it seems. With the job climate as it is, I'd say spending the $$ for full tuition at 6-14 versus full rides at GW or WUSTL is just not worth it. But it would be nice to have the option

Didn't get aps in until mid to late January, really worried this'll completely kill my chances (especially at Berkeley and Penn... come on dreamboat!)
Edit : In at BU 2/12
