Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Also WL'ed earlier today.
177 / 3.9 (K-JD)
Submitted mid-Dec. no JS1
Figured I should check in since I've pretty much decided it's Harvard or bust for me this cycle and it looks like I'll be riding this one out for awhile. Good luck everybody!

sigh thanks everyone. going to go drown my sorrows in tequila and ice cream now.

Interested in this as well....Egzon wrote:Does this mean that if we don't get waitlisted today without a JS1, we'll get rejected?

Does anyone know when waitlist JS1s start going out? And generally how many waitlisted applicants get JS1s/how many of these turn into acceptances?LifeGoals wrote:Waitlisted today, no JS1. Hoping for some Waitlist JS1s during april.

No JS1, still waiting since early Dec., mild splitter. If it's a rejection tomorrow I'm gonna be pissed. Like seriously? Why wouldn't you do it earlier?!?thestruggle wrote:itookthelsat wrote:Interested in this as well....Egzon wrote:Does this mean that if we don't get waitlisted today without a JS1, we'll get rejected?

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Good morning everyone, just got my WL email. 172/ 3.86 but I got a 171 on the Dec test so that might be the only score they're considering (retook in Feb after their deadline). Went complete on 1/23, no JS1. Does anybody have a good idea of what percentage of WL recipients ultimately get JS1s/ JS2s?

174/3.6
Went complete 2/17, and nothing since.
Given all the wait list action, is it most likely that I'm rejected?

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Checking in with the WL squad. <25th GPA, >75th LSAT - pleased as punch to still keep a toe in the arena. My Hamilton ding verse will have to sit on the shelf for at least a few months.
As for folks wondering about odds off the waitlist/timing, the waitlist thread from last year is a good read. Vast majority of WL movement historically occurs by around May 15 -> May 22, then sometimes another "wave" in June, and after that the odds are slim (in late summer you're just counting on someone getting pulled off the Y/S waitlists, or getting a crazy job or fellowship and deferring, or, like, dying).
Someone crunched the numbers, and last year it roughly 20% of TLS folks on the waitlist received an eventual offer, skewed very slightly in favor of folks with pre-WL JS1s. People are also occasionally dinged from the waitlist, both before and after JS1s, in June, July, and early August.

Thanks! I'll check out the waitlist thread. Still waiting on Y/S as well as Penn and Chicago, got accepted to NYU and UT, interviewed with Columbia last week and interviewing with Georgetown today. Fingers crossed.berek wrote:Checking in with the WL squad. <25th GPA, >75th LSAT - pleased as punch to still keep a toe in the arena. Also, a special shout-out to my boyfriend; he reminded me this morning that even getting waitlisted at Harvard is pretty cool.

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
It seems that there's an unusually high number of splitters waitlisted this cycle. Not sure what that means.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
