WL a few hours ago. February JS1.

For those with a JS1 who were waitlisted, how did your interviews go?

I honestly felt solid--not stellar, because Skype interviews suck, but I was relaxed and it was a good conversation.

I am genuinely sorry for any JS1ers that didn't get the news they were hoping for, but I would imagine having a JS1 previously puts you higher on the WL than those of us who went straight on the WL without a JS1.
I have very mixed feelings when it comes to being waitlisted. On the one hand I'm happy I wasn't rejected, but on the other hand now my wife and I need to wait another few months before making a decision for next year. It doesn't help that she's an admit and it makes me feel like I'm holding her back by not having been admitted. Also, I have numbers that could have easily gone either way (WL or admit). So being waitlisted without an interview makes me feel like I wasn't given the chance to show who I am one-on-one. I'm still hopeful through all this though.
On the bright side, you will have a very convincing LOCI!

Sameish. Aside from my Skype going down right before the interview  but they called and then it seemed like it proceeded well.

Deciding whether or not to kick myself for not buying a new laptop earlier or if it's most likely some other factor that they used to determine WL

Wow. Are you KJD and white as wonder bread? Even if so, that's crazy? Late app perhaps? You have great stats.

Do we think they are done for the day? Do these wait lists tend to come at once or in waves throughout the day?

i'm taking the WL decision a lot harder than I expected. I always knew H was a long shot but getting the JS1 got my hopes up way way high, and now it feels like wow, i was one of the worst candidates they interviewed, and that's really killing me.

No way. Lots of people got JS1's and WL. And very few people as a whole get JS1's so keep your head up!

Some got JS1's and then dinged too, so at least a WL is something!

Don't take it too hard! I too JS1'd only to get WL'd, and it stings, but I think it happens to a lot of people and doesn't mean they just hated your face...

Did you by any chance murder someone? How did you not even get an interview?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
