It meant interview request by mail for me. I had the interview the other day, didn't prepare, did terrible. I probably should have just withdrawn, oh well. Good luck!Cupidity wrote:My status went to decision today, but states decision rendered on 2/22/2010, for those of you getting accepted...did you go decision prior to getting the email? I'm insanely nervous--is this a WL/Reject.

i know they're swamped, but does anyone know if they do mixed batches?
FWIW for those in the 2/22 decision pool, I should be an auto-reject. I only applied because I got a fee-waiver. App complete 11/16 but officially on 1/25.

I switched from complete as of 1/5 to complete as of 2/22... maybe they're saving the best for last!

Alright, so maybe they're holding on to mine making sure no better ones fell under the radar... either way if I end up with an acceptance... or even a WL... I'll be ecstatic!bruinsbaseball wrote:yeah but mine changed to decision so they cant have done thatMDPSteve wrote:I switched from complete as of 1/5 to complete as of 2/22... maybe they're saving the best for last!

I've been browsing through trying to figure out how the do rejections. I got the decision 2/22 and was told to wait 10 to 14 days. Rejected?

Re: Cornell waiting room
Have people who have gone to "decision" but gotten no email tried calling? Apparently they were willing to give out decisions during EA that way, might be worth a shot.

Re: Cornell waiting room
hmm. I guess I wouldn't mind. But it seems to me that since the decision was made on 2/22 and folks got admitted emails on 2/24, seems pretty evident that it isn't that.

Re: Cornell waiting room
No. I didn't call. I just got the decision notification on the status checker and told to wait 10 to 14 days for a letter. If they actually sent the letter on 2/22, I imagine I'll get it today or tomorrow (on the West Coast). I'm rejected now at Berkeley, Penn, UVA, Texas, held at Nortwestern (sending LOCI and at least two more letters of rec), and waiting to hear from GULC tomorrow. Also waiting to hear from Chicago, Duke, Michigan, St. Louis, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, and George Washington. So it'd be nice to get in somewhere soon, meaning Cornell.unknownscholar wrote:Baloo wrote:I've been browsing through trying to figure out how the do rejections. Re: Cornell waiting room
Based on a sporadic reading of posts from the past two or three weeks, it seems as though the admitted students receive an e-mail, followed by a wave of status check updates two to three days later. Rejections and requests for interviews seem to be the order of the day for the snail mail recipients - I can't recall anyone posting about receiving an acceptance that they weren't e-mailed about first, at least not recently.Baloo wrote:I've been browsing through trying to figure out how the do rejections. Has anyone tried calling today? I was supposed to have an interview today, but it went straight to VM when I called and I haven't got a call all day.
Maybe they're snowed in?

Re: Cornell waiting room
Ha, nooo. I just didn't prepare because I didn't really care all that much. I knew what he would ask but I didn't really spend too much time thinking of what I might say. They would have to offer me big money to get me, and I doubt they would.Kakarot wrote:You did bad on a phone interview? Re: Cornell waiting room
Does the trend seem to be that a "Decision" status without an e-mail is a rejection? I got a message via status checker that my decision is in the mail but it asked me not to call the Admissions Office.
Thanks for your help.
