So how long after submitting the finaid application did it take people who’ve received finaid offers to get them?

I applied for need + merit, so I assume that will slow things down somewhat.

It's weird to think that classes begin in about four months. That's almost the amount of time it's been since I submitted my app. With the seat deposit date being in two weeks, I'm wondering if the drawn out cycle helps NYU reduce the number of candidates they put on waitlist.

They've, in the past, had relatively low % of candidates waitlisted numbers (compared to rest of T13) so I can see your idea making sense.

If you already know for sure that you are not attending NYU in spite of your having been accepted, please do us a favor and withdraw.

I know from various insiders in admissions that pre-deadline withdrawals can prompt panic in admissions committees and force their hand (as in, they may offer an acceptance to a desperate whore like Syb)

I second this!! I have a cold and last night my NyQuil induced dreams were basically me fighting all y'all to the death hunger games style to get off the waitlist so like please...let's not let it come to that lmao
