If you are at HYS you are almost certainly a gunner in some way. Maybe since Stanford has a lower LSAT median they are a bit better in that regard? Or perhaps I am incorrectly correlating gunnerness with LSAT score.

Actually, just realized it has to be the warm weather.

I don't think I'll have much choice in how I tell other people on FB because as soon as I tell my mom where I'm going I'm sure she will light it up

Probably. I mean there are going to be awful neurotic type A people at every top law school, but I thought what he said about Yale was interesting since 0L's have this perception that everyone at Yale must be cool because it's soft-heavy and YALE. Some of the stories he told me were so fucking ridiculous and it made me realize it's just like any other Northeast prestigious school.

This is actually the best of both worlds -- all the haters know bc the fb algorithm privileges "congratulations" posts, but you avoid any obnoxious posting yourself!

Most people I know there are chill except one person... she openly shat on her class on Facebook which I never understood why someone would ever do that.

But the chillness is definitely a combination of the warm weather, comfortable job market around SLS, and the campus feels like a resort imo lol

I would think gunnerness would correlate with GPA more

Everyone needs someone in their life who will brag on their behalf, whether IRL or on social media. It is indeed best of all worlds.

My mum doesn't have facebook but she would totally do that if she did. As it stands now she has informed the extended family about every single acceptance.......tried to get her to stop but she won't

My mom is an attorney and blasts my acceptances out to all of her friends and our family.

I don't tell anyone besides my fiancee and parents. Somehow everyone knows

It just occurred to me:
I will send out a facebook event invite to all my friends with the event being "Just wanted to let you know I got into law school" so I KNOW everyone got the memo.

My mom is more low key about it. I talk to my dad though and he's like, "Son I'm so proud of you, I talk about you all the time and brag to all my friends." And I'm just like "dad plz no."

There are undoubtedly a bunch of people I don't know and have never met who already can't stand me.

Same. My favorite was when my mother informed my grandmother, a committed Fox News enthusiast, of my acceptance to Berk. Very entertaining.

hahaha this is probably the only good thing about my grandfather on my dad's side being passed away. the shock of me going to Berk (if I were to go there) might just kill him.

but all my dad's friends are brainwashed by Fox News (they gave me a hard time about my UG institution that is "liberal" because it's a college campus [and not a small rural midwestern town], but no where near Berk-level-left), so they'll still give me a plenty hard time

here's a savage petty thought my friend thought of. stay friends with people you hate and have talked you down, get into great law school, make a status thats pretentious as f and only make it show up to them in settings, then unfriend them the next day. so satisfying.
