Yes, I'll admit I went to an N'Sync concert or two in my day....but I was all about the Warped Tour before music festivals were cool.
Bought a N64 the other day and have been attempting to beat Mario 64 for some R&R before school...game is hard...

Re: WUSTL c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
Anyone play Banjo Kazooie on the N64? When I was a young boy in elementary/middle school, I played that game for days and hours. I almost reached the end but I didn't have enough puzzle pieces (think stars for Mario 64) to unlock the final map. I tried to collect enough puzzle pieces but there was this one map where I found only 2/10. That map sucked ass. If you fall in the water, your health starts going down because it was oily and toxic (compared to just regular water which your character could swim easily in). Throughout middle school I had the occasional dream of playing that game and beating it. Even in middle school, I bought Banjo Tooie (the sequal to the game, which was 180) and I actually beat that one. The first one was just too damn hard and it was left unfinished.
Fast forward to two summers ago. I was at my then girlfriend's house and her little sister was playing with the N64. She eventually stopped. I took a look at her game selection and lord and behold, it was Banjo Kazooie. I asked my girlfriend if I could spend the day or two playing it and she was okay with it. Not to be a complete asshole, I took turns with her playing the game. We took turns with the different worlds. It was really easy and I had collected enough puzzle pieces to unlock the final map without even trying the last two maps. I did them anyway just for fun. I even got 10/10 of the puzzle pieces from Rusty Bucket Bay, the shitty ass map that conquered me as a child.
Once I unlocked the final map, I grabbed the controller from my girlfriend's hand. I told her, "Look, this is going to sound crazy, but as a child, I dreamed of this moment multiple times. I have to beat the game." She was kind of reluctant but let me anyway. I entered and finally beat the shit out of that witch Gruntilda. It was 180.

N64 is 180. It was easily the most fun I had on any gaming system in my life.scottidsntknow wrote:I love that I come back and N64 is now the center of discussion.

I was a master at Pokemon Snap on N64. All my friends hated me for making them play it and bask in the glory of my latest snap of a Porygon or Dugtrio or whatever.

Stop it. All of you. I will have Super Smash at my apartment in the CWE this fall. Just throwing it out there right now. I play for KEEPS!ManoftheHour wrote:Idk about that. I'm pretty good.John Everyman wrote: Not only have I got it, I could take any one in this forum.
Edit: Now that I'm reevaluating this post, I wouldn't play for keeps because if, by some miraculous miracle, you're able to beat me, you'd be taking my N64 and/or Smash Bros game. I can't live without my heart....

I interviewed on Friday and was told that I should expect to hear back sometime early this week. My status checker changed to Interview Complete today, idk what time but it was definitely changed by 11am. Idk what that means about a decision but today is definitely the last day that counts as "early this week."
