Agree. I don't know how much of this has to do with the down cycle vs. schools now only having to report the high score to the ABA and US News (I suspect more the latter), but I'm pretty sure that H does not primarily use the average. I have a 173/164, and if they were primarily using the average, I doubt I would have heard back as quickly as I did. I think that in my cycle, my 164 has made me look slightly worse than another candidate with just a 173, but not like a 168.5er.edamame wrote:I highly doubt HLS is averaging this cycle. Also, I don't know how accurate the Facebook group is, but it seems like they still have a good number of people to admit. They're probably looking for high LSATs more than ever.spicyyoda17 wrote:Don't give up yet.az21833 wrote:im thinking H does average. if you average, i have a 169, way below H median
If they average, I'm a 168.
850 (offers) - 311 (FB group) - 50 (approximation of people not on FB) = remaining admits (?)

ME!!!!!!
But really, just celebrated my 2-month anniversary with sitting at "Complete."
Anyone got advice on the wisdom of this...?
I can't figure out if apps are just being read more than the usual two times or if our readers are just busier/ reading slower.

For the record (and I drink at Starbucks and am not a hater). The notion Starbucks pays fair trade is absurd. I used to run a coffee shop and its roughly 37 cents for us to make a 12 ounces of coffee. For Starbucks it's 7-9 cents. The only real difference in cost is the price of bean.ohpobrecito wrote:wert3813 wrote:So many LOLs.Audeamus wrote:your commitment to fair trade is impressive.
Starbucks so dominates the market they can basically choose their own price and they do. Many huge corporations do this. I'm not faulting them, but the notion that it is fair trade just because they say so (rather, they found some organization to say so) is laughable.

Does anyone think that admin folks are actually watching to see what people are saying here? Because if that's the case we can all spontaneously praise HLS and see if we get some JS2s before 1.

Congrats to all the recent JS2s, well done!!
For those that have heard back, do you remember anything being said at the end of the interview or during the interview itself, like "we look forward to being in touch" or something like that, that you thought was indicative? I know I am just going crazy and over-analyzing here, but what else can I do?

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! I felt that I got a sniff of that as well, so trying to stay positive! I dunno, though... took me weeks to calm down after the LSAT.read2465 wrote:It's easy to go crazy, I'm sure. If you are looking for a serious answer it's this:d330 wrote:Does anyone think that admin folks are actually watching to see what people are saying here? Because if that's the case we can all spontaneously praise HLS and see if we get some JS2s before 1.
Schools aren't actively trying to tie applicants to TLS accounts. Its more of a someone said something and now I'm curious so I look at their profile/LSN/post history to see if I can match their stats/dates to a applicant.

Right. But I would be stunned if it is a I try to find someone's TLS account before I make a decision situation. I think it's way more of I'm surfing during lunch hop over to TLS someone said something that interests me so I spend 5 minutes trying to make him/her situation.sabanist wrote:Dean Asha has been pretty open about keeping an eye on what people are saying.wert3813 wrote:If you are looking for a serious answer it's this:d330 wrote:Does anyone think that admin folks are actually watching to see what people are saying here? I would also be pretty easy to make people if they don't take the upmost care.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I've seriously wondered if it played a role in how long my decision from CLS took and the fact that I didn't get any money from them. I've been pretty openly enthusiastic about HLS (and the potential of YLS until my ding comes), to the exclusion of CLS and UChi. My LSN is accurate, and it isn't hard to figure out my UG if you try. I wouldn't be surprised if I screwed myself over there.twinkletoes16 wrote:In retrospect I would have not posted at all this cycle
It's all speculation, but I would have fudged things more and been less open if I could do it again.
Yeah, I think that's where her "be on your best e-behavior" warning came from.wert3813 wrote: Right. Right. 7000 applicants, and not enough information in the application itself... so they tried to deduce TLS and LSN profiles.sabanist wrote:I've seriously wondered if it played a role in how long my decision from CLS took and the fact that I didn't get any money from them. Next year there will be a box on the LSAC universal application for LSN and TLS usernames.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
