I wasn't optimistic we would get a third day of acceptances, but this is interesting insight. I really, really hope you're right!Gaudi wrote:To those wondering about emails, I believe during the last wave everyone accepted on the various days got the email on the last day of the wave after all the acceptances were out? So now that Harvard has kept it's #2 spot, can they please start letting in some of us below median?? They can breathe now.

Congratulations to all the JS2s! I finished my JS1 just now. Lauren Gold was very nice and asked both general questions like "Why Law" and specific questions tailored to my resume. I wonder if anyone can kindly pm me her email address so that I can send her a thank you letter. Thanks.

Dunno if individual emails are available. You could send a thank you note to the admissions email and address it to Lauren, but I'm not sure.dirac wrote:Congratulations to all the JS2s! You can also look up JS's home address in the public property records of Cambridge, MA, and send her a present via snail mail. HTH.mujiali wrote:Dunno if individual emails are available. FYI, just got my email so if this holds up looks like the wave might be done. I have no basis to know whether the above is true though or whether others got emails as well.pylon wrote:I wasn't optimistic we would get a third day of acceptances, but this is interesting insight. Anyone have any insight as to how many applicants have been admitted so far? I get the sense that they're still lagging behind where they'd normally be, even with all the JS2s we just had.kadyevna wrote:I certainly hope so!!LawBron James wrote:Thanks so much guys. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
last year, a little more than 150 people reported JS2 in this thread, a bit less than 125 of them were pre-waitlist , this cycle, we have almost 90 JS2s reported so far including the wave we just had, of course, many assumptions need to be made here, and I think pylon has more accurate data, as always. If i can say anything from this data, they're still behind, but not by very much, it is likely we'll see another JS2 wave or two before waitlist becomes a realityIngmarKurosawa wrote:Anyone have any insight as to how many applicants have been admitted so far? Got Lauren's email address. But thank you for the idea, which I would follow if individual emails were not available.

Genius idea man! But JS might be worried because her privacy has been compromised.

No I bet she'll love it. Please go find out whether that's true for all of us. And pics or didn't happen.dirac wrote:Genius idea man! But JS might be worried because her privacy has been compromised.

wise words but I guess point has been made and also taken well by dirac in the right spiritNo I bet she'll love it. Please go find out whether that's true for all of us. And pics or didn't happen.
dirac, you may justifiably feel a strong need to send the thank you note thru email but the post is probably right in suggesting that it's most likely a hassle for admissions and has a net zero effect in the bigger scheme of things esp so as js likely hasn't made her email public.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I think this is a pretty reasonable line of thought, but we do have Karen Buttenbaum, HLS' last Dean of Admissions, saying that they're a nice gesture. I'd say based on that go ahead and send her a quick thanks -- I wish I had.appind wrote:wise words but I guess point has been made and also taken well by dirac in the right spiritNo I bet she'll love it.
