Is there a TLS Harvard thread award for longest in post JS1 purgatory?

If you go off of last year's numbers, there were 134 admits recorded on LSN, which is 16% of the 830 admitted students.

Extrapolating to this year, there are 98 currently accepted students on LSN, implying that there have been around 607 JS2's.

Seems flawed. Doesn't allow for growth in market share for LSN.

+1 Does seem flawed and seems to follow the general trend of interpreting partial data in the way that makes the odds shrink with each day, which may be true - but not because of these numbers.

Oh I know. That's why I never said I was. Just wasn't sure if you wanted to be referenced in this regard, so I used myself as an example of someone who's waited longer.

He was held the same day I was, along with some other first batch JS1s, but I'm not sure of their JS1 dates so I can't tell exactly who holds the record.

True, but possible that growth in awareness/use of LSN may be offset by the decline in applications. If, as many have theorized, much of the decline is at the higher end of the LSAT/GPA scale, LSN would be less representative of the applicant pool than before.

I'm fascinated by your situation. The absence of a ding or hold is generally a good thing ... you've obviously cleared some internal hurdles. My guess is your app is getting passed around to different reviewers. How else to explain the delay? But no matter the reason, one begins to wonder what the Hell they are waiting for? This is an excruciating amount of time for you to wait just to see evidence the process is moving.

Pulling for you though ... hope your email chimes soon.

I'm fascinated by your situation. The absence of a ding or hold is generally a good thing ... you've obviously cleared some internal hurdles. My guess is your app is getting passed around to different reviewers. How else to explain the delay? But no matter the reason, one begins to wonder what the Hell they are waiting for? This is an excruciating amount of time for you to wait just to see evidence the process is moving.

If this helps give any hope, I was at "complete" for a solid 2.5 months at least before I got my JS1.

Im in the same spot. Have you considered a LOCI? I know that one now pretty much means not doing one after a hold, but I'm fitting the urge almost every day to send one in.

Personally, I think people have gotten overzealous with the LOCIs this cycle. Everything I have read and heard suggests that you should not send a LOCI unless you have been WL'd, have a significant update, or did not write a "Why X" for a school that clearly values those (i.e. UVA, Michigan, Duke). Harvard will know your still interested without a LOCI, and you run the risk of annoying them by sending one.

Thanks! I don't think anyone from my complete date has been dinged or held though so I think they're just now getting to us. I fear checking my email now.
