This. Yet I can't help but hope, because Michigan would make this an absolute "what the hell is happening" dream cycle for me.

I keep joking with my friends that if I get into Michigan, that moment will be better than my wedding day and the birth of my first child combined.

YES. The second ASW is over my 21st so if I get accepted the streets of Ann Arbor will flow with liquor for all of my favorites.

...but I am so on board for infiltration.

Has anyone who applied around the same time heard anything back yet? Is it worth calling, does that speed along the process at all?

Also, I wrote a Why Mich, but I don't think it was terribly strong, and after doing further research, I think Mich is my top choice. Is it worth sending in a LOCI even before my app has been read there?

Sometimes, I see us riding a glorious white horse down a beach, in slow motion, in black and white and with a Calvin Klein logo in the corner.

Even though I am not sure how to hug a big blue M, I'd find a way.

We can be together, if only you'll say yes.

I applied 12/16 and got my status checker last week. They mean it when they say it can take that long for them to send the status checker.

just got wl'ed at duke and it barely fazed me. but after receiving the mich email a few weeks back and still no word, i worry that is my fate at michigan as well and that is definitely harder to take.

+1. Lately I fall asleep and wake up thinking about Michigan, I'm so lovesick.

Dean Z, if you're reading this, I promise to be the most dedicated law student you've ever seen. I'll dress exclusively in blue and maize. I'll pay a premium on tuition, and when I graduate I'll donate 15% of my salary every year. I'll never complain about the cold or the fact that the shopping in Michigan is nonexistent at best. I'll learn to love the Detroit Red Wings. I'll do everything in my power from now on so that by the time my future children are reading the USNWR rankings, Mich will have edged out Stanford in the top 3.

I know you're out of my league numbers-wise, but I can be that special snowflake if you give me a chance.
